Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by First Time - Last Time Guest Room: Underside of toilet seat and toilet rim had splotches of diarrhea! Obviously never cleaned. Toilet was backed up as well. Housekeeping cleaned the mess. Plumber used plunger, then "snake" to unclog. Plumber cleaned the toilet and floor afterwards. Unacceptable experience! Disgusted by my welcome, moved to another room. Inconvenient but grateful for the move. The second room's sink was clogged. Water did not drain well. During the night discovered that the A/C was not cooling and the controls were not functioning. Opened the windows! Bathtub's floor surface nicked and marred terribly! Showered wearing flip-flops! Water leaked from the tub's faucet onto the floor, under the door. Lots of water! (By the way - The first room's tub's floor was even worse with nicks!) Unbelievable! Sub standard conditions. Front Desk staff, Arli, is EXCELLENT! Arli is professional, personable and went above and beyond to assist from the moment that I called for reservation, then through the toilet mess nightmare, and move to new room. Please reward Arli with a raise in pay! Arli is true gem! Thank YOU, Arli. Chelsea and Mike did their best to remedy the toilet situation. Scott, Front Desk, listened well and helpful at checkout. Absolutely NO excuse, no reason, for a hotel room's toilet seat and rim to be splattered with diarrhea, waiting to greet a new guest! Revolting! Wondered, had the rest of the room been cleaned or not? FIRST time EVER at a Holiday Inn Express and also last! Originally planned to stay 3 nights - Checked out in the morning! This hotel is in desperate need of serious maintenance attention and bathtub refacing. Regret not taking photos of bathtubs to post. Must see to believe! April 10, 2016
