Room and public area were always very clean. Eating area was clean and well maintained.

Good location for access to central NJ, less than 30 minutes to many business and pleasure locations. Good staff, and hotel in good condition.

The hotel staff who checked me in wasn't rude, but she definitely wasn't friendly either. It almost seemed like checking me in was such an effort for her. She didn't confirm how many nights I was staying (which would have alerted me to the fact that something was wrong with my reservation), and also did not ask how many keys I required - instead just giving me one.
When I was getting breakfast, the pancake machine started blinking and I couldn't get it to work. After a minute or two, a staff member came over, pressed a button, and walked away, all without making eye contact with me. Impressive, really.
One night I came back to the hotel and realized I had left my key in my room, so went to the front desk and got a new one. I go up to my room, the key doesn't work, so I had to go back down again. No apology from the staff, and he almost seemed like he didn't believe me when I said it didn't work.
I don't know what it is about this hotel, but it seemed like many of the staff members I encountered made it seem like it was such was an imposition whenever I asked for something. They just seemed so unhappy about having to do their job.
