There was a staff member that was trying a little too hard to be accommodating and was actually listening in on our conversations at breakfast in order to "chime in" on every subject. Other than that, I would not shy away from staying again. January 20, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Big H-Express fan but this experience was disappointing I have always been a big fan of Holiday Inn Express but this experience has tarnished my image of the company. When we arrived we noticed there were a number of hairs in the bed sheets under the covers as well as in the bathroom. The room was lit with compact fluorescent lights exclusively that were very stark due to their bright white color. This was further amplified by the baby blue walls. A warmer tone compact fluorescent lamp would be warmer and less stark. Consider painting the walls a more neutral color. The baby blue pastel walls coupled with the high kelvin temperature compact fluorescent bulbs made the room look cheap. The towels in the bathroom were thin and rough in texture. The common areas were clean and well kept. The breakfast service was very good as typical with Holiday Inn Express. The internet and TV in the room performed well and I had no difficulty connecting. The parking area was well lit and organized well to make guest feel safe. January 6, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not a bad stay.... My family and I stayed at this property on 12/26. I booked 2 rooms using my priority club rewards points. For that reason I think I am considering this "not bad". Issues that came up were a lost reservation from PRC when I tried to check in, no complimentary token given to me for being a platinum member, the lock to the of the rooms I booked didn't operate but since I had adjoining rooms everyone just used the one lock that did operate, the light on the sign when entering the property was not illuminated making the property hard to find, and the pancake maker did not operate for breakfast. The rooms are recently under renovation and we did not get rooms that were already completed as we were on the first floor due to having brought our dog. Taking all these things into consideration if I had paid cash for the room I probably would call this a bad stay since there were so many things that seemed have issues and the cash rate was not in line with what we were offered in way of accommodations. The rooms were fine, but on the way back to Florida we stayed at another chain hotel in GA that I did pay for at a comparable rate and had none of these problems. This is just an older property and I am sure after their renovations these issues will be rectified. The area was fine but I am glad they are renovating this property as it would have made our stay more pleasant to not have to deal with thesel inconveniences. January 6, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A Little Older Hotel This is one of Holiday inns older properties it seems. When arriving in the evening i ended up driving right past the hotel. Non of the exterior lights on the building were working and i couldn't even see it from the main road. Once i got inside i mentioned it to the front desk and they said that they had been having issues with the lights since day lights savings time. (Wasn't that back in November?) Once in my room, it was clean and there wasn't any issues there. When it was time for bed i went to pull the curtains and discovered that these wouldn't work properly to block out all of the exterior light, I like dark rooms to sleep. ( One or two of the clips were broken) Already being late i just didn't bother. The next morning i was awakened at 9am by house keeping wanting to clean my room! Check out isn't till 12 please go away! All in all the stay was just ok. The only advantage to the property is that it is across the street from the winery. But if you are not visiting the winery go up a couple more exits on the interstate to the newer Holiday inn. It is worth the extra couple miles. January 1, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Wait until renovations are completed. This hotel is undergoing a major renovation and it is a mess. We were given a room on the second floor and although our room renovation had recently been completed, the rest of the floor was a work zone. The least they could do is clean the hallways. Construction debris was everywhere, including cigarette butts that were just tossed on the hall carpet. We had driven all day and were exhausted so we didn't have an option to leave unless we slept in the car. I have stayed at many HIExpress hotels across the country and this was by far the worst. Do yourself a favor - choose another hotel until the renovations are completed. December 31, 2014
