Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Okay but not great After arriving too early to check in we were shown our room prior to its cleaning. We liked the location of the room (first floor, close to pool, dining area, etc.) and were told we would have that room when we returned to check in. Upon return to check in another staff told us our room was given to someone else (no reason given). The A/C unit is fairly noisy (not great for sleep) and is not thermostatically controlled making it difficult to adjust to a comfortable temperature. Overall the facility is about average when compared with other Holiday Inn's, however far less than average when compared with other chains. We will likely stay somewhere else next time (a B August 7, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable stay Overall it was a comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast options were good and it was available prior to 6am. One thing was the smell of mildew in the bathroom, possibly from the shower curtain. Although we did not request a handicap room, we were assigned one and it was spacious. There is a mirror door for the closet. It is necessary to keep the mirror door closed so that you can walk around the room. We almost forgot our jackets that were hung in the closet when we were checking out as the mirror door would normally be closed most of the time. The closet mirror door may not be necessary as there was another large mirror in the room. Our room was near the center of the building and near the only elevator. The only sets of stairs were inconveniently located at the two ends of the building. A more user friendly floor plan could have included stairs in the center of the building. August 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Return Visit We've stayed at this property a few times over the past several years. It is convenient for our travels between Virginia and New Hampshire. The room layout here is much better than the newer design HI Express properties - mainly because the room has lights next to the bed for reading. I hate the properties that have insuffient and poorly placed lights. Also, the coffee maker in this room, and most HI Express properties is poorly placed - the cord never reaches an outlet. I get annoyed at having to take the coffee maker into the bathroom to use the outlet there - it gets in the way on the sink area. All-in-all, I'm pretty loyal to HI, since I am a long-term member of their Rewards program. August 2, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff and comfortable bed Were greeted courteously at front desk and were accommodated with check-in prior to 3pm as we were exhausted. The beds and four pillows were extraordinarily comfortable. Although there was a large group of people staying in the hotel as wedding guests, we did not hear any noise that they may have made and the noise in the halls was minimal. We were very pleased with the hotel, our room and our stay. Would definitely return. July 23, 2014
