Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed I travel extensively for work and am a Platinum member with IHG but this has to be the most disappointing stay ever. The room was dated and I felt like I was staying at a motel in the 70's. Musty smell, outside entrance (which is scary for a female traveling alone), and indifferent, less than friendly desk staff make this a poor choice for travelers. Breakfast was hit or miss with most of the hot items missing most mornings. I will still stay at other Holiday Inn sites, but never this one again. August 7, 2013

Stayed here for many years, feels like a home away from home. *Vending machines need updating. They don't work properly and of the time, you don't get the item you want that's displayed for that button. Frustrating at the very least. Reported to management the loss of money. Takes $1(dollars)bills, but item was out of stock(which happens regularly and it wouldn't return the bill or change for it. Had to go to the front desk to get reimbursed. Staff replaced my lost $$ even though it wasn't their responsibility which speaks well of the management. Otherwise no problems. Great place to stay. thank you all, July 24, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Always enjoy my stay. I have stayed at this hotel every time I come to town. The staff is always courteous and helpful. The rooms I have stayed in have all been neat and clean. The choice of mattresses in the suites is a very nice touch for one person anyway, I get to choose the most comfortable one for me. I for one do not like the really plush top one, so am glad there is the choice of a firmer mattress. I always like having the choice of pillows that is just right for me. I find this hotel a little over priced compared to others I've stayed in that were not in a major city's downtown area. That's the only negative for me. May 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Must be very well insulated. We were very comfortable even with the wind and varied temperature outside. There was absolutely no noise from outside. We made a request when making the reservation and it was granted in the best possible manner. We never sleep eight hours but one of the three we slept a straight eight. Folks at the front desk were extremely helpful especially Valarie. Nice and clean! Thanks so very much! March 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Tried several other motel/hotels in area years back and found this to be the best in all catagories. Would and do recommend this location to all. Al and staff make stays comfortable and relaxing. Have stayed here many(10+)times a year at least. Always enjoyable. You'll want to return again. Only negatives have been the long term construction on the access road and HWY's 290 and 36. It's been difficult trying to get in to the property at times, but management has dealt with it as best possible. No fault of their own. *Always recognized as a Platinum Member with nice gift to go with it. Good Job! January 24, 2013

The room was comfortable and quite. This is about our 6th time staying at this property and have never been disappointed. Will stay again next time we are in Brenham. January 2, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room not up to HIE expectations My stay was in December 2012. I have over 1,000 nights in Holiday Inn Express hotels, which means I really like them. Most of those nights immediately followed the hotel's grand opening, so I know what a new hotel is supposed to look like. This Brenham HIE hotel was poorly built from the beginning. The best evidence is in the bathroom. The granite counters and tub enclosure were caulked with far too much caulk. I took pictures. The uneven, wide, white stripe at every joint was about 3/4 inch across instead of an invisible 3/32 inch across. The toilets are bottom-of-the-line devices. They are low flow but old technology. Much better toilets have been on the market, from every manufacturer, since 2006. Out in the room the only available electrical outlet was next to the bed but was cut off from actual use by the headboard covering half the faceplate. If you have any kind of recharger, it won't plug in. Housekeeping and maintenance are falling behind, too. I noticed there was no facial tissue in the tissue holder, the towel rack and the shower curtain rod were broken from someone hanging on them, and the paint at the edge of the tub was peeling off. Out in the room itself, there was a loud hum in the room. It sounded like heavy equipment just outside the window, but I traced it to the refrigerator. Nice to have the fridge, but the hum was really loud. Everything else about the hotel looked fine. Pillows, towels, and linens were excellent, room was clean, everything worked, food was great, and the business area had some privacy. I would stay here again, but without the expectation of excellence I have come to know. I know nothing changes until someone complains. I'm complaining. Someone please get this hotel back on track. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Room, Honest People The room was very clean and comfortable. However, I was most impressed with the honesty of the staff. My husband and I were both packing the suitcase the morning we checked out so I did not realize that I had left anything. When we returned home there was a message on our answering machine from the hotel. I had left my IPAD on the bedside table. Housekeeping had found it and turned it in to the front desk. Two days later I had my IPAD back via FedEx. Thank you so much for the wonderful room and the honest and great service. November 28, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place to stay The front desk person, at check in, was very plesent and helpful. The entire property was one of the best maintained I have ever stayed with. My son is a former GM at the San Antonio Airport Express and his property was well maintained, but, this one beats them all. The front desk staff, at check out, were very porfessional. The Breakfast area was exceptionaly clean and well stocked. November 13, 2012

With three weddings in town that night, some people continued partying long into the night, but we never heard a peep once we closed our door. November 9, 2012
