I've found most of these are a reliable stay. They are not 5 star resorts keep in mind. They are a decently clean place to stay and feel comfortable. I'm not from the northern states- the social nuance is a bit different for me in general. None the less, my stay was fine. If the pool is busy plan on hearing some of the noise. Not unbearable; if you need quiet time, keep that in mind when requested a room away from the pool.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by slr39 A good family Enviroment.
The facility was very clean and inviting to enter. The Room we were in was more then nice and very clean and Comfortable for the family. We are very pleased with our overall stay and are looking forward to another stay at the Hotel in the Future. The only thing I can say negative about our stay would be the parking lot size. A nice Hotel such as this I think should have a lot more room and spots for their guest's.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DadWithNoSleep Think twice, read the reviews before booking.
I had recently stayed at the Brookings, SD Holiday Inn Express for a weekend get-a-way. The staff were okay during check-in, but after my stay I noticed that my paid stay with the Holiday Inn Express showed up on my Rewards account as "non-qualifying" and I did not receive any points what-so-ever which were discussed upon arrival, no standard points for the paid stay, and no bonus points for platinum membership. With a hotel chain I use exclusively for my business and pleasure, I would expect a higher level of service from the staff and awarding points where they are due. The noise level of the water pipes from other rooms next to us were so loud they woke me up and I was unable to sleep. Think twice before booking a room here if your a light sleeper, pay full price for the night and get no points.

I had recently stayed at the Brookings Holiday Inn Express for a concert event in town. The staff was very new and slow with service - which I can understand.
