This hotel is EXTREMELY crowded! And people slam doors all night long. It's not just the door, the metal "safety bar" on the door clangs too. There is a lot of desk staff, but no one was able to complete my check-out properly. I had to call 3 times after I returned home to get things straightened out.

From the moment we walked in the door we were greated with smiles. Everyone at the desk went out of their way to help. I asked for directions to the Brooklyn Bridge. I was handed a map of brooklyn and Google walking directions. Incredible service. During my stay I received a call from James the front office manager asking how the hotel was doing. Let me tell you that this is the first time I have ever received a call from a manager to ask my opinion unsolicited. Great stay, we will definately be back! Thank you all.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by cjones06 Staff made stay worth staying!
Two staff members in particular made my multiple stays even more incredible then normal. Brian (manager) and Madelyne were both wonderful human beings and very service oriented individuals. I did not experience a problem that they did not resolve in a timely and fair manner and they both always greeted me with such kindness that it was akin to going home. When in Brooklyn, NY, this is my hotel of choice and it helps that it was in walking distance to where the Brooklyn Nets play so a win win for all!!!!!

I have to say that I was quite disappointed with what I received for the high price. I have been a priority club member for over a decade and have always been very pleased with Holiday Inn Express locations. I chose this hotel over others in the area, at nearly the same price, because of the photos which described the location, what seemed like the grounds and the rooms. First off, none of the photos showing a beautiful park like setting were true. There is no green open space at this hotel. The photos were of the Botanical Gardens nearly a mile away. Secondly, I was charged for parking at a ridiculous rate per day. That was not on the website or stated by the reservations desk. Third, the photos of the rooms showed spacious rooms, like I have come to expect of Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express. These rooms were cramped and had barely room to walk past the beds. The "desk space" was a table that if you sat at it you blocked the only way into the bathroom. Not what I would recommend as a Holiday Inn Express at all.

I have frequented this hotel on many occasions. under at least three different management teams. This day was quite troubling. It was 3:30 and a large school group was dropped off by a bus which was blocking the driveway and the front parking. The kids and adults were all waiting for the single elevator which meant that other guests could not even get to the desk. When I did manage to get to the desk no room was ready. Finally i was assigned a room but had to walk up the five flights of stairs. When I arrived the staff was still cleaning. The room fixtures were damaged and some drawers did not work nor did one phone and a light. The next morning I went to take a shower and there was no hot water. While the staff puzzled over this problem the best that was possible was to go down two floors to another room. As frosting on the cake my car had two hubcaps missing when I got to the parking lot the next morning. At check out everyone was sorry, but no real issues were addressed.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by pestsarra101 too noisy
when I arrived at the hotel, the lobby (which is small) was crowded with what I suspect were other guest, however, rather than coming and or leaving the hotel, they just “hung around”, this made me a bit uncomfortable and my suspicion was that these were “displaced” person and they were “living” at the hotel.
My suspicion was somewhat confirmed later that night when all night long there was talking and people walking in the hall outside my room (up to and including at 4am), there was a baby crying down the hall and I was not able to get a rested night sleep and I had to get up early for work the next day.
I would not stay here again and I would not recommend this hotel to my co-workers or friends.

widowmarsh Butler Street Holiday Inn Rocks!
I had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn on Butler Street from the 18-21 of April. From the moment I arrived, I knew it was going to be fabulous. The staff from the front desk to the maid service were phenomenal! I never remember being treated so well at a hotel before.
The location is is great, I felt very safe and was able to walk to train stations, markets and restaurants.
I have found a new home when I go back to Brooklyn. Thank you!
