I have stayed at this location before and was excited about the updates from last year. The check in took to long there were two members on duty however only one checking in while the other was have a side conversation. No recognition of being a reward club member, not even a mention or thank you, like must sites do. I have even received handwritten notes from the manager some of your location. Key was not ready.
The room was not clean, bottle caps under the desk.
I do like the remodeling.
I come in with some empty water bottles (2) and asked the front desk if this site was recycling and she responded that....."No, that would give us another thing to do" so I proceeded to put the water bottle in the trash in front of the check in desk and was reprimanded for "filling up the trash" So....I just now understand holiday inn's view on going green.
Checking out was rough, I had to beg for a copy of my receipt.
I will probably use a different hotel chain next year when I return to my home town.

Our party of six stayed three nights. There was a problem initially with one of the reservations, which the staff bent over backwards to correct promptly and efficiently. We had the sense of being well cared for by people, not corporate policies, and our stay was a delight. The breakfast offerings were particularly pleasant: a nice variety of choices, and free fresh coffee available all day long. An excellent hotel.
The only down-side was that the website promised a hot tub, and although the pool was very comfortable, there was no hot tub.

This stay adds to the many great ones experienced at an IHG brand facility. Management and staff exceptionally professional and courteous making for a relaxing overnight stop-off.
Provided a great break on a long drive enabling completing my trip after a rested night contributing to a safer state of mind.

This is not my first stay at this hotel but it will probably be my last one. I usually stay here when I have appointments at the Cleveland Clinic. We usually enjoy the stay (My husband and 9 year old also stay with me). This time however it started off poorly with a long wait in a line to check in, not be acknowledged as a Priority Club member and a room that was at the very end of a long long hallway. When we finally got to our room it was dirty and smelled like cigar smoke. Behind the bedside table for instance was filthy. No attention to detail.
The next day the breakfast bar was a fiasco. It was very busy which I expected since the motel was booked but they didn't have any hot cereal, not even instant oatmeal. They were out of cinnamon rolls, they only had one kind of fruit, and there was no hot chocolate, so all three of us were disappointed. My daughter was especially disappointed that there was no biscuits and gravy. All of these things we had on the last visit.
I tried to talk to the front desk on the way out but although I was the only customer that was there in the lobby they were too busy to talk to me.

I travel to Ohio a few times a year, but this was my first time going to Cleveland. The staff was polite and just overall friendly, something rather hit and miss nowadays as many of us travelers know. The property was nice, the building was kept up well. The rooms smelled fresh, everything worked, and there was no problem falling asleep due to noise or anything like that. I would (and did) stay here again when in the Cleveland area.

I do not like it when I have to clean my room before I unpack.
Like: clean up the bathroom, clean the coffee pot, and dust.
It is a very nice area I feel safe when I walk outside.
Front desk service is great they make you feel at home.
Value is poor because I have to clean before I stay

My family and I were traveling to the area for an Indian's game. The location was great, we were only 10 min from Progressive. The hotel itself was great. The staff was helpful and curteous. The hotel was very clean as were the rooms. Very pleased with the rooms. Rooms were spacious for a family of 4, did not feel as if we were on top of one another, and the fridge and microwave were a pleasant surprise. Breakfast bar was great as well. Area was kept very clean and a nice variety of items to choose from. Have stayed at other hotels in the Cleveland area and Holiday Inn Brookpark was one of the best stays so far! Would definatley stay at this location again.

Nice clean room on the third floor, Breakfast area does not get restocked and a male who came out of the Linen room felt the small ammount of food that was there was for him. The front Desk Staff was GREAT.

Front desk is great, (most of the time)
Housekeeping is ok if you dont mind cleaning your own bathroom before you use it, you may want to also bring your own dust cloth with you and be ready to clean your coffee pot before you make coffee.
I would also like to add they seem to have a lot of spiders.
I was there for 5 day and had a spider visit everyday.

We were lucky to stay on the new 3rd floor and were blown away at how comfortable our room was for 4 guests! We have a family member in a wheelchair and she was able to shower safely, and roll under the sink to brush her teeth.
One suggestion to make the room even more wheelchair friendly would be to angle the bathroom mirror and desk mirror down so someone sitting can fully see themselves--she could only see the top of her head!!
We will definitely look into staying here again next time we're in town.

I stayed on the 3rd floor which has been redone. Was there all week and had a great stay. The hotel is really putting an effort in to improve their overall comfort. With remodels there will be some inconvience - understandable.

Hotel is less then other Holiday Inn Express's I have stayed at.
The room was older decor , loose tiles in the bathroom, bathroom looked clean enough , it was just showing ware.
Parking lot was being re-paved so it was bumpy and scrapped up getting ready for new blacktop. Its as expected for this type of work. The staff knocked on the door even though I had the do not deusturbe sign out. This was on the first day of a 3 day stay. then second day I came back at 2:30 PM and the room was still not cleaned, so I went out again. On the third day I arraiged for a 2 PM checkout time - I am a gold member - and was told ok they would wright it down. The next day trying to sleep in at 11:00 the staff knocked on the door loudly and asked if I was there. I said yes , they wanted to knwo when I was gettnig out, I said 2PM the desk knows, they said they did not have it on their sheet. , When i went to check out the desk took 15 minits to print me a receipt. they had printer problems I guess.

All the staff is extremely friendly especially Raj. I booked my stay through the website and everything went smoothly. When I first walked in I was surprised on how nice the lobby area was. Very up to date! My room was very nice, clean and bed was comfortable. The pool was nice, I was mislead that there was a hot tub but later came to find they had to remove it when they remodeled. The breakfast was impressive! Very Nice accommodations I will be back!

The lobby and breakfast areas have been updated but the rooms are dismal. There was an unpleasant odor in the first room and when I moved to another room, on a different floor on opposite side, the same odor was still there. The staff were wonderful but I wouldn't stay there again until the rooms have been cleaned up and remodeled

Overall amenities similar to all other Holiday Inn Express's. While a 3rd floor was added recently, we got a room on the 2nd floor which had not been updated (but was still clean and comfortable).
The best thing was that my kids and others were able to hang out in the Social lounge on the 3rd floor. This room was great. We picked up food from local resturants and there were tables, couch, chairs, computer, and a big TV. The kids had space to do their thing and the adults were able to chat and watch TV. It also had a kitchenette.
If you were having a group, not just a business group, this lounge would be a great get together place.

We stayed for one night before leaving from the Cleveland airport. We accidentally left a sweatshirt in the room. When we called, the desk clerk was very unhelpful. He said that they throw away anything that was left and that they didn't have a lost and found. After some consideration, we called back and asked to speak to the manager. The same man said he was the manager when we called back. This time he said that they had a lost and found but they only save things for 2 days and throw them away on Sundays. (We called within the 2 day window on a Sunday). After repeated requests, he finally agreed to ask the housekeeper, even though he said she wasn't there that day. In a couple minutes he came back on the line and said that there wasn't anything left in the room. While the hotel itself was nice, the uncaring and unhelpful clerk on duty on March 24 was a poor example of customer service. Even though a missing sweatshirt might not be a big deal to him, it was a personalized team sweatshirt that was easily identifiable and had sentimental value to us. I would expect better from a Holiday Inn.

The hotel was still undergoing renovation, but it was clean and quiet. The desk staff was great, and the shuttle service to the airport was timely and efficient. The breakfast was just OK ... the eggs had a type of cheese sauce in the center that was pretty awful but the other items were fine. All in all, good value for the money.

Room smelled so bad of deodorant I thought i would never get over the headache. All furnishings were tired and in need of redoration. I had an early flight and didn't want the hassle of trying to find anther hotel. I will never stay there again.
