Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Talk about getting it wrong I booked my stay as I always do. When I arrived the person who checked me in claimed I'd reserved a "smoking room". They were completely booked and did not have another room they could give me. After a 14 hour day, all I wanted was a shower and a clean bed. First time I've ever stayed in a "smoking room". It was like sleeping in an ash tray. Absolutely disgusting. My opinion? They overbooked. If they had my IHG information on hand, wouldn't they know what my preferences were? Easily the most disappointing stay I've had in any hotel in the past few years. No IHG recognition, no apology, simply take the room we're giving you or leave, was the response I got. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worse Place to Stay!!! This was a quick trip & I was only staying for 1 night! Which turned out to be the worst place I've ever stayed. I checked in on Sat. 10/31/ just to leave my bags at 7 pm & the room left hot so I adjusted the A/C setting. I had an event & didn't arrive back to the room until 12:30 am. The room was still hot I called the front desk, they came to check the A/C. Since it was not working they moved me to rm. # 205 this room smelled like mildew & we waited for about 10 mins. the A/C was not blowing cool air either. Once again I call the front desk & they offer me another rm. # 213. Which we finally stayed in. I checked out at 9 am. the next morning, I asked to speak to the manager the lady at the front desk informs me she will not be in until after 1 pm. She also informs me of several other concerns they were dealing with. I didn't hear from the manager (Ms. Gonzalez) until the next day (Mon.). She stated she would review & look into it. I received a return call Tues. morning letting me know the best she could do is 20% off the cost of the rm. I will never stay here again!!!!!!!! November 4, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful We loved this hotel since we arrived. There is a little pond next to the hotel and our room had a beautiful view. We got to enjoy the hot tub surrounded by a beautiful garden. The room was very nice and clean and the shower was wonderful. I wish they had four towels for us since I made the reservation for four people and we only had three towels. I also was disappointed not to have the cinnamon rolls on my second morning. Other than this little things Ana in the breakfast area was really nice and all of our experience there was very good. I highly recommend this hotel and I can't wait to be able to go back. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Work trip There are a few items that could be a little better (carpet stains, noise near elevator and ac control) however considering the other options in Brownsville and the high volume of guest through the hotel it is in good shape. The staff was easy to work with and very friendly. I will try this hotel again on my next visit October 20, 2015
