Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor conditions Poor conditions on our bathroom, no ice machine except on 1St floor. Breakfast was about average, no cinnamon rolls out at 9:15, staff did not want to put any more out. However, another guest wanted 4 and I convinced her (the staff) to put put a tray. She said that if she put them out they would be cold. My wife asked if they had a microwave to hear them up. The lady that wanted 4 took 5 to her room. Bathroom in 223 needs much work. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by just ok We stayed in town for a wedding and should have gotten a wedding block rate, but we didn't get the special rate. They would not adjust my bill. I thought the rate was higher than it should have been considering the location of the hotel and the quality of the room, which was just ok. Also my shower had very little water pressure, but to be fair I didn't report this until we checked out. I was highly disappointed with the way the manager would not budge on my room rate.and will not be returning. January 21, 2015

The ladies who greeted us at check-in were very friendly and made great suggestions when we asked questions about places to eat and nearby city parks. The room was amazingly clean, beds were excellent, and the heating system could be adjusted for personal comfort. The bathroom needed new towel bars but the room and fixtures were clean. There were plenty of fluffy, clean towels. Overall, we were very satisfied and would definitely recommend this hotel. January 19, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lack of maintenance & cleaning Biggest thing is lack of cleaning.Carpet was torn and shoddily repaired,hard floor surfaces needed mopping,elevator was crazy dirty,escutcheon plate on shower disconnected and the telephone didn't work.Asked for top floor,on check in was told they "needed"to fill hotel first,but"guaranteed" no one would be above me.Wrong.When the"circus"came to town,it got bad.BTW,that's when I learned the phone was out.When I checked out and told all that had happened,an"I'm sorry"is all that was offered.Bad management.This used to be the "Benchmark "for hotels in Texas as I travel all over this state,but this was my last stay here.
