We stayed overnight just passing through on a much longer trip. The staff was very helpful and friendly from the moment we checked in until the moment we left the hotel. We arrived late, but were recognized as an IHG Rewards Member immediately and provided with an expedited check-in. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the beds were MUCH better than most hotel beds. We enjoyed a good night's rest, which was essential when traveling with a newborn on a 16-hour trip. We only had one issue, and that was with the breakfast. The juice machine wasn't set right because the juice tasted watered down, and we had a container of milk that was completely spoiled (chunks and all). The date on the milk hadn't passed, so the milk wasn't expired. I chalked this up to a random occurrence. Having working in hotels for over 8 years, I understand that things like this happen from time to time. I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff (a person who I assume was a supervisor because she had been working when I arrived and was there when I departed at 11AM). She quickly apologized for the issue and offered a discount on the room and additional IHG Reward points (which I declined, because as I noted, I worked in hotels and I understood the situation). One other thing of note about our stay: the entire staff was friendly from the front desk staff, to the breakfast attendant, to the housekeeping staff. I have never seen a more courteous and helpful staff in any hotel I have been in. The housekeepers even offered assistance with our luggage. They obviously have a quality service culture that has been engrained in each of their employees. I would definitely recommend staying in this hotel, and should I ever be through the area again, I will stay with them again myself.

do not stay if you plan to use the pool. it isn't heated enough anyway, but the past 2 visits, it hasn't even been heated to the lowest company standard. the staff will argue with you and swear you are wrong.

We were in town for my mother's funeral. My daughter had a room at the hotel for the day of the night before the funeral and was checking out the next day. She asked if she could check out at 2 PM so that she would not have to check out before the funeral. they would not let her do that.
It is noteworthy that there were many unoccupied rooms at the hotel during our stay. It would not have created a problem for them to let her check out late.

I flew into Akron and drove into Bucyrus late Sunday night during the middle of a decent dumping of snow the last 20 miles of my trip in. I found it a little hard to get to the property which sat right off the state highway because of lack of signage and a lot of snow on the ground but I found my way. Needless to say I was so tired and Sherri greeted me with a smile on her face and welcoming words. My room was very spacious and comfortable for business. The mattress was a little worn but everything was VERY CLEAN and the staff was so friendly. I would definitely return.
