Entire portion of the building that we visited was very clean. The rooms were very clean and beds were very comfortable and excellent value that's why we added a extra night to our stay March 12, 2014

We were disappointed with the bathroom size in this location; there was no space to even hang the towels or enough counter space for two people. Other than this we had a comfortable stay. The staff is excellent; very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean and comfortable (King room is spacious, has a great workstation area). The property is well maintained. FYI I have been a IHG Platinum member for over 5 years to put it plainly this is not a good hotel for a mired of reasons 1) Poor management the internet stopped working and I called the front desk twice with no help provided the next day internet still did not work. I called IHG the next day and they promised the manager would call me and discuss and the manager never called me 2) Worst breakfast I have ever had - so bad I went to a Panera bread and paid for breakfast and got WI Fi that worked. They had very few items to choose and IHG when are you going to get rid of the paper bacon its not good 3) Shower had little pressure for hot water by the time I found out I was done March 5, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Customer Service I continue to stay at this property because of the continual quality customer service. I have always had a pleasant experience while checking in on the night shift. The young lady who checked me in at approximately 1200 midnight was most professional and extremely pleasant. The hotel experienced water issues requiring shutting off the water. Though this was a slight inconvenience, the hotel manager "Joe" was most appologetic and willing to accomidate me anyway possible. Also, Joe and Misty were extremely thankful for my military and Chaplain Corps service. The breakfast bar area continues to also be the positive trademark for the hotel. Again, this is a nice hotel with a most incredible staff. Very Respectfully, February 23, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Poor communication We stayed at this hotel on the way to see family. We requested a late check out that morning and was granted until 2pm so our son could nap. After that point housekeeping stopped by 3 times and the front desk called the room twice despite the do not disturb sign on the door and front desk knowing about the situation. We later asked what was up and were told it was protocol to call when house keeping tells them someone is in the room past checkout. This makes no sense to me if they knew we were checking us at 2.the room was great, a bit smaller but it was an overall good experience. December 6, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ALL GOOD We were delighted to stay at the Holiday Inn Express, Burlington. We were on the way to Rome, GA from Kitty Hawk, NC and weren't sure where we'd stay for the night. We found the Holiday Inn Express to be the perfect location. Overall experience was excellent. We didn't partake of the breakfast but it looked good. We did have some coffee for the road and it was fresh and hot. Thank you for such great service. September 23, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Straightforward & Relaxing Staff were straightforward and didn't waste your time being overly courteous, but were very professional and handled any matters very quickly and efficiently. This would be great for business (as I was on), or a family. Rooms are comfortable, and had excellent amenities such as mini fridge, morning papers, FREE Wi-Fi, and FREE breakfast, not just a bagel either, but hot food as well. The staff is excellent, the rooms are very clean and comfortable and the breakfast is very good. The little touch of giving out bottles of water at the front desk is nice. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyore staying in the Burlington / Elon area. September 1, 2013

He had a a sudden onset of appendicitis and the staff was most helpful in directing me to the hospital, extend my stay day-to-day and once my son was released from the hospital after surgery, they were very accommodating and giving. They said they were sold out and don't know why they confirmed it. Also, was charged $20 and when I went to desk the unpleasant associate said that the girl last night messed it up and she will take it off but won't show for a few days. This threw my account in negative and charged $35 fee. I stay in Holiday inn's about 50 times a year never had worst service. August 11, 2013

We picked up a coupon for a dicounted rate when we crossed into NC, and drove until midnight to reach this particular hotel. Upon arrival, I couldn't find the coupon and with a sleepy family in tow, just wanted to check in and go to sleep. I presented the coupon the next morning before we checked out, and the front desk staff said they didn't have the authority to apply the coupon but they would get the manager to do it when he was on property. I noticed a few weeks later that no credit had been issued, and contacted the manager. His position was that since the actual coupon wasn't presented at the time we checked in, he wasn't going to honor it, even after I explained the late-night arrival situation. Unbelievable. I can't fathom why he would lose a platinum-level guest over a small discount. I won't be going back! August 8, 2013

Room was super clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family. Room at Holiday Inn Express Burlington was nicer than a major chain hotel in downtown Atlanta -- and for about 1/2 the cost! August 3, 2013
