Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast on a budget They must be on a budget! At breakfast they were out of the cinnamon rolls and this was at 6:00 am. Another guest told me it was the same the day before.Come on- this is Holiday Inn trade mark! Then they set out only 4 USA today papers. Gone fast. I think I would have sent someone out to the local store for rolls, instead of telling the guest that they had used the inventory for that week the past weekend. July 13, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by overall conditions For the most part,we had a very enjoyable visit.But our closet was way too small(we were there for a church convention with dress clothes and suites for 4 days)not enough room to hang our stuff!The AC had a rattle,it cooled the room well,but just made a lot of noise.Also the room needed more light.(could hardly see how to get dressed!The adjoining property was badly grown up with weeds and etc. looked really bad! Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by NEVER AGAIN! I'm a 6 year priority club member w/ many stays over the last 4 years. I did not get a reasonable rate for the room I was given. No work desk or chair to do work. Room was a double, though alone was charged for a more expensive rate than a single. Beds were WORN out! Matresses have not been at least turned over, swells. June 9, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Customer Service Upon check in I felt that the associate was extremly rude. When going to try to find a place for dinner that evening same associate was somehwat friendlier but had zero knowldge of the area. I had reserved the meeting room and charged an astronomical amount of money for a very poorly equipped room, it did not meet our needs. The tables provided were only about 12 inches wide and this did not provide adequate work space for notebooks, laptops etc. I had requested a board room which I was told they could accomodate. The hotel overnight rooms themselves were clean and updated. The last day of the visit we were literally "kicked out" of the breakfast area. The staff member didn't ask us politely to leave but said as she pointed her finger at the door "ya'll need to get out". There were only two of us in there discussing business then we were told that we weren't allowed to sit in the extremely small lobby. We were then referred to the public library or a very poorly ventilated and cramped business center. The hotel manager ran around in skin tight blue jeans and high heeled to the knee boots. Very unsatisfactory experience, will never stay here again! February 27, 2014

The breakfast is limited and not appealing like other locations but the clean atmosphere makes up for it. When I checked in, the front desk could not add my reservation to my Club membership but the morning staff did at checkout. February 12, 2014

Eggs, bacon, sausage all cooked and not greasy. The two people working the breakfast were so personable and kind. This was a great experience and I will stay here again! February 1, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Needs improvement Although this property was convenient for our visit to the area, we were disappointed in our stay. Having had a recent stellar experience at a Holiday Inn Express in another state, we assumed that the Holiday Inn Express Byram would at least meet the minimum requirements of the chain. We were guests for three nights. Upon on our return the evening of the second night, we discovered that our room had not been cleaned, and no, the do not disturb sign had not been left on the door. We brought this to the attention of the front desk, and were at least given clean towels. However, we feel that we did not receive what we paid for. We attempted to speak to the management about adjusting our bill to reflect this lack of service when we checked out. We were advised to call back and speak to the manager the following Monday morning. That was more than 48 hours ago and we have yet to be contacted. Our advice to anyone needing lodging in this area would be to stay elsewhere until this property resolves their obvious poor housekeeping and management issues. December 4, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Byram Holiday Inn I was shocked that I had to wait about 10 minutes before someone greeted me at the front desk. The young lady was not dressed in Holiday Inn dress and was not pleasant. My room smelled of BODY ODOR and I asked to change rooms. Your front desk person could care less, seemed put off that was mortified what had just occurred. Probably the worst customer service I have ever received at a Holiday Inn and I stay at them all the time. I will never stay at the Byram location again. Sincerely, A loyal HI customer! The front desk personal had a boy friend or some guy there, they must have been talking for hours. Not the most professional, or the nicest Holiday Inn I have stayed at. October 2, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice property not great service I may have just caught them on a bad day, but at check-in there was only one front desk person on staff and was unable to get into the system. She was on the phone trying to get information on how to access the system. After 20 minutes, she finally got me a room, a smoking room, though my profile specifically requests a non-smoking room. She was unable to switch me due to the difficulties of getting into the system. The manager was out of town and there was no one with experience on the system to help her. The person working the front desk did everything she could to accommodate me, but simply was unable to do so. In addition, she told me that she would be unable to check in drop in guests as they arrive. The room was OK and didn't smell to bad. Breakfast was average at best. From what I could tell, the staff didn't really seem thrilled to be there. July 24, 2013

Requested a change of rooms and was told that they could not help me. Also had requested a ground floor room and was placed on third floor. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst experience at holiday inn express I stay at a Holiday Inn property enough to qualify for Platinum. That said, I made the reservation on my phone and arrived to be told that I did not have a room, that they were full! I said there is no way. After pushing the clerk who was on her cell phone and seemed I was taking up her time to help me find another property to move to; she found me a room. The first room was a double and I told her no, that I made a reservation and to cancel my reservation and I would go. She then ask if I would take a king suite. I said yes with a sleepy baby and tired wife and 20 minutes later we have the room I made the reservation for. No apology, no recognition that I should have been upgraded to start with and it was almost like I had taken up too much of their time. I will never stay at this property and would recommend passing on this one! July 21, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Hot room and rude staff The desk clerk was not presenting a friendly impression front start to finish. Asked for an upgrade due to platinum status and she said there were none available with even checking. Didn't seem to care. I felt like we were a bother to her. Our room was on the second floor which smelled like there was a skunk loose somewhere. Lastly, the temperature in the room when we entered was at least 80. It took over an hour to cool it down to an appropriate temperature. The staff that checked us out in the morning was pleasant and cordial. July 7, 2013

Never a bad feeling that you are bothing them, they go out of their way to make sure you feel welcome and they want to help anyway they can. The location is great for what I was there for and the fact that they helped me find a good place to eat showed me they knew the area and the value of good food. I will alway stay in this hotel when I am in that area and could even pick to stay here if I had to dirve 20 or 30 miles to where I needed to work. Great place and outsdanding people June 11, 2013

The front desk could not have been nicer or more helpful. She was kind, happy, and provided a smile that we so sorely needed. The room was clean, and comfortable. We did not eat breakfast, as we are very tired of the usual Holiday Inn Express fare,since we are loyal customers. Easy access to interstate. Highly recommend this hotel. June 1, 2013
