Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not Great! I chose this location over El Centro because of the price difference. Typically, you get what you pay for. Hotel appearance is very worn looking. When checking in, I had to wait and wait while the desk clerk took care of another guest. All this while another employee sat on a couch about five feet away texting on his phone. Just as the clerk was free to help me, he came around to the front desk. In the room, the toilet paper roll was almost out, so I had to replace it. Just an added thing to do when hurrying in the morning. I used one kleenex, and that was the last one. No replacement box. Just not well kept. August 31, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great for the area I usually stay in El Centro but found the Holiday Inn Express Calexico to be a bargain and don't mind driving a few extra miles. The hotel is surrounded by stores and places to dine. The staff is very friendly and the hotel has a modern feel to it compared to the competition in the area. August 20, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Soso64 The overall stay was ok. Had a few minor problems that needed attention with the shower curtain rod falling and shower valve seemed like it was going to fall off. I reported to the front desk and nothing was done to fix it. Also the sleeper sofa springs were broken and also reported it to the front desk and Nothing was done. I will not recommend or stay here anymore. August 18, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best example of a Holiday Inn Express I travel to the Imperial Valley a lot, generally staying in El Centro. I took a chance based on the on-line ratings of this hotel (higher than El Centro) and was very disappointed with the property. The location to downtown Calexico was good, an there are a number of shopping opportunities nearby, however the property is "worn" and I was not impressed by the service I received. July 28, 2014
