We arrived late and the staff put us in a handicap room, which was comfortable. The tv had problems but the outgoing staff did their best to fix it. The rate was excellent and the staff very hard working and outgoing.

Everything was really nice. The only disappointment (such as it is) was breakfast. We use HIE all the time and know that it varies from place to place. What is funny is the one that was the best when we were out west was an older woman who evidently had experience in cooking and learned some things that only come from experience. She wrapped each biscuit with saran wrap which kept it warm and soft. Everything we ate showed it was handled with love and only wanted to put out the best. The breakfast here showed that less care was given as eggs were like plastic, bread hard around edges as was rolls and bananas were to the point I would have just not put them out. The person here was a young girl who probably did not have the experience of the older lady. Not a big deal, just a comment and in no way makes one iota of difference as to where we will stay always in the future. Thank you.

I have stayed at this hotel for more than 5 years as I travel through the area or working there. The expereince is getting less and less enjoyable as the hotel is in dire need of renovation. The prices seem to be going up every stay in the process. I stay in a hotel on the average of 20 nights a month and only looking for comfort and a quality room for the value, this hotel is no longer fitting the bill for me. The management and behind the counter staff really don't seem to even want to be there. I will look for another hotel in the area.

The main thing I like about the Holiday Inn Express brand is the standardization. All properties are basically the same.
What makes the difference is the staff. They are excellent and do more than they have to to make sure you are satisfied.
This is my regular hotel when I am in the area and I don't see that changing!

We have been making frequent trips from Florida to Ohio and have been in search of a good stopover. The Calhoun Holiday Inn Express fits the bill to a T. The facility is clean and well kept. The pool and fitness center are great. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. For this picky eater and coffee snob, there could have been a better selection of fresh fruit and the coffee could have been hotter...otherwise, a perfect stay.
