We had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Express Boston - Cambridge. From the time PHIL greeted us the first day and gave us some Boston tips, we knew we would enjoy our time there. The room was clean, quiet and a good size. It was very convenient to the "T" and all points in Boston. We spent one night, then went to spend a night in Gloucester, before returning for two additional nights. KAITLIN made sure we had the same room waiting for us at the end of the week and that it was available before the normal check-in time, so we could make the most of our remaining days in Boston. She greeted us with a smile morning and evening .. I think she is there all the time! We also met the manager (MARK?? .. sorry I forgot to write your name down), who helped us out with a map to find our way to Fenway Park on the "T." Great experience .. would absolutely stay there again!! :)
We had a terrible experience at the HI Express-Galveston 2 wks prior, where I was told I should not expect service at a HI Express, this Boston-Cambridge hotel restores my faith in the brand. You could give a class in customer satisfaction! Thanks for everything!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mncaldas123 Excellent customer service
We arrived a little early before the check in time therefore our room was not ready yet. Jimmy took great care of us not only did he accommodate us immediately, but the level of customer service that we received was second to none. I am active-duty military and I have yet to receive the treatment I did at this location. Jimmy offered us an upgrade on the room so that we were able to settle in a bit early. When I visit Boston again I will be sure to select this location for our stay. Thank you very much Jimmy. Semper Fi

The location is perfect for getting on and off the T and getting around the area. The front desk staff are awesome, knowledgeable about the area and very helpful. Breakfast was very good and the variety was nice over a long stay. Cinnamon rolls were my favorite treat along with the nightly cookies. The beds are horribly uncomfortable and caused me pain. The housekeeping staff were friendly but the ones on my floor did not speak English at all which made it difficult to communicate our needs. The room was clean upon check-in but not up to par during our stay. We would definitely consider staying here on our next trip.

Stayed with my family for two nights.
It is conveniently located and getting into Boston was easy on the T.
We had a spacious room with 2 queen beds, comfortable for our family of four.
The breakfast choices are limited though

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Boston stay
We had a very difficult time finding the hotel. It was dark and we were tired so that might have had something to do with it. We were a little surprised at the neighborhood but it was fine, since we were not planning to walk around it the next morning. If so, I would have preferred a Boston location.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TNTnMN Close to couple T-Stops and Mall
We stayed here to avoid the high prices of being Downtown, Back Bay, or in Harvard Square. We spent 4 days as tourists in Boston covering the usual sites -- Freedom Trail, Duck Rides, Harvard, Fenway, Trinity Church, Prudential Bldg, Blue Man Group, and 4th of July fireworks w/Boston Pops. The site proved a good place to based as we used it to get to Green and Red "T"-line easily. For some context, I am a platinum IHG member and stay at a lot of HI properties. This one is meets their standards.
This location is about $30 cab ride from Logan Airport, little less than 10 minute walk from Lechmere #Green Line#, 15 minutes to Science Museum, and a good 15+ minute walk from Kenmore Square #Red Line#. It has a McDonald's next to it; and is about a 10 minute walk to a full-fledged mall. The neighborhoods around it are nice; and there are alot of condos being built on the otherside of the road from it.
Our dbl queen room had a fridge and microwave and was pretty standard HI Express fare. Same for breakfast #cinnamon rolls, toast/bagels, eggs, saugage/bacon, cereal, pancakes, COFFEE!#. . The breakfast room is a little cramped, but is well-served by the staff who try very hard. the business center is right by elevator and abilty to print show/game tickets worked quite nicely.
Only knock was the elevator can be a little slow during peak times #9-10am#. I understand parking is free #we didn't use it# -- looked very crowded given such a good deal.
All and all - glad to have been here.
