Arrived to discover I had originally booked the wrong weekend but helped by the reception staff telling me how to sort it out and they even put the coffee machine on especially for us while I sorted the booking out on my laptop. Hotel is about 2.5miles from the city centre but the walking route is direct and about 40 mins stroll. Room is basic but breakfast is included so reasonable value. Plenty of free parking. Would recommend if you want somewhere to stay without the frills. October 23, 2014

Located about 40 minutes outside the city but a manageable and reasonably pleasant walk that felt safe in the day and walking back even at 2am. Well cared for room and ensuite that looked and smelled fresh and clean which is important to me. Lovely big white towels too. Breakfast was 'help yourself' and the choice on offer means you could still eat quite healthily. Had a leisurely breakfast without feeling the staff wanted you gone. The evening meal was also well prepared with some interesting dishes. Very nice staff who paid attention to things. Overall, I would say I felt relaxed and refreshed after my stay and would definitely stay here again. October 23, 2014
