Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay Clean, warm, friendly. Great location and very easy to find, unlike some hotels. If you are on a tight budget, there is a McDonalds very close by, which isn't - but should be - promoted, as the pub price list is outside many people's budget. Advertised literature states you can walk to the IMW. Well, that's ok for the really fit with lots of time on their hands, on a dry day, and with a brave heart to face all the traffic. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by be aware of its location The general hotel, is a typical Holliday inn express, and is clean and functional. The staff are good, and the rooms recently refurbed by the look of it. However you need to be aware of its location. It is literally next door, yards away from the train station. the trains run frequently and in my room at least, the noise could quite clearly be heard. January 19, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Booked for Location We booked this hotel because it was an ideal location for visiting Duxford and Cambridge. The room although a little small was clean, leaving the bathroom a little small and the normally supplied soaps and shampoo had fixed container which proved a little difficult to use. The breakfast was poor even by Holiday Inn standards what appeared to be rolls from Aldi and the [paper tasting bread did not encourage us to eat a good breakfast. The Red Lion Pub just a few steps down the road which appeared to be run by the same people offered first class food and service at a reasonable price January 18, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Black hole Standard Internet connection was non-existent and paying to upgrade to a better service in this day and age is unacceptable! Especially when a platinum member! No phone signal in bedroom, so trying to do work was not possible. Wouldn't recommend for business use! January 18, 2015

Our room faced the car park and was comfortable,clean and quiet, although it's situated next to a train station we only heard an occasional faint rumble from passing trains, the staff were excellent too. In all a very pleasant experience. For us the location was perfect, as we took the train into Cambridge, just a ten minute journey. Also Duxford museum is quite close. January 10, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Nice staff, friendly welcome Having stayed at Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels a fair bit, this particular hotel is very much whet I would have expected from HIE. Clean, modern, and accessible. Next to a railway line could have been a disadvantage but I noticed some ear plugs supplied in the room, a nice touch although being hard of hearing I didn't need them. What could be better? The towels could be bigger (I do like a large bath towel), the bathroom 'cosmetics' could have been better thought through and one very small niggle from the bar area. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay let down by 2 things The hotel exceeded our expectations, except in two (maybe three) places: The bed was worn out, soft and we felt springs! There might be train noise (we didn't hear much, but we stayed on Boxing Day!) - get a front room! and a small point: the breakfast could be better The juice could be fresh, likewise fruit, and there could be cold meats. However hotel and staff were excellent and as for value-for-money - superb! December 30, 2014
