Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Staff! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating with any and all needs. I have stayed there once before, and like last time, there were groups of pre-teens and teens for various tournaments, tours, and competitions. All of the staff were extremely courteous, accommodating and overall exceptional with any and all situations, no matter how frustrated a customer became with their issue. I would highly recommend this hotel for customer satisfaction. April 16, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by neat, comfortable room, great breakfast excellent expanded continental breakfast clean room with excellent housekeeping very reliable shuttle service to Metro station can hear traffic on Beltway if room is facing that way It is not a 5 minute walk to Metro station as they claim. More like 10-15 minutes. left two jackets in room after check-out. Very accommodating. They promised to Fed-Ex them to me. Still waiting. Arrived at 1:00PM for check-in. Wouldn't let me until 3PM Requested 1st floor when made reservation. At check-in, they had no record of this. Ended up on second floor but elevators worked fine. Lots of school groups staying there. All well-behaved but they clogged up the breakfast area each morning. Don't attempt to drive into downtown DC from hotel: very difficult. Take Metro instead. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel / Terrible cancellation policy Had a great stay, staff were all very friendly. But charging my credit card the full amount immediately after booking and then I find out that you have no cancellation policy. Co-worker had a family emergency and had to change plans 2 days out, he called 30 hours before arrival and reservation was cancelled but booking/reservation agency still charged him full 3 nights stay and as of now still refusing to refund anything due to current policy on not accepting any cancellations. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by the worst ever This was our first time visiting the D.C. area and we were very excited. When we arrived the young man that checked us in was very curtious and helpful he was also the desk clerk that checked us out. We get to our rooms to relax before going out and discovered our bed was not clean (hair, spots and trash). So disgusting!!! For some reason the television did not work. We called the front desk and went to the front desk no one came to the room until late that night when we were in the bed. The night desk clerk was not knowledgeable....she just didnt have any answers to anything. They also charged my card more than what they were suppose. The only reason I gave a fair for staff is because the gentleman that checked me in and out had great customer service with all that wae going on. I will never stay at that place ever again. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyable The hotel was nice…kind of tucked away so my GPS had a hard time finding it. I got there kind of early after driving all night and asked to check in I was told the hotel was sold out so it wasn't possible however Im pretty sure this was not the case….After attempting to call the help desk because Im an IHG member suddenly a room became available….outside of that 20min of frustration the rest of my stay was pleasant….the bed was not very comfortable. The staff was ok as was the breakfast…Id stay again but Id hope for better service when I do… November 6, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed, good service except... The shuttle service had a driver that was late to work, so I was a little late to the conference on the first day. The other four times I used the shuttle it was on time. The internet would not work on my IPad in my room, but worked in the lobby. I slept good and the room had a frig and microwave. October 4, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by First Impression My husband and I walked into the room and it smelled odd also there was a very noticeable stain on the sofa. From that point forward it was downhill. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice staff but location was not the most scenic My overall experience was ok. I was a bit disappointed as the rooms were a bit dated. I stayed a Holiday Inn Express recently within the last month and the rooms were bigger and a lot more comfortable and I paid less than I did here for the night. I was also disappointed and found it inappropriate that 15 min before breakfast was over the dining attendant turn out the lights while people were still eating. The location around the hotel was under construction so it looked abandon. I would not recommend this location but I would recommend holiday Inn express as it is a good chain in general. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay I definitely enjoyed my stay here; clean rooms, comfortable beds, great customer service from everyone; adequate pool size and the privacy fence was a huge plus; lobby entrance felt very welcoming and warm and the breakfast was adequate; hotel is approximately 20 mins or less to DC, depending on your route. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Staff and Location Our experience at this hotel was an excellent one! We chose to stay at this particular hotel because its proximity to the metro. The hotel provides a shuttle, which we appreciated. Some visitors chose to walk, but we did not feel comfortable walking with just us women and no males. We were a little late arriving one night, and a staff member was nice enough to come get us anyway! Overall, the staff was amazing and definitely went above and beyond. The one negative that we had was the inconsistency with housekeeping. We stayed for a week. One day, we came back and one of the beds was made, but the other wasn't. Some days housekeeping would leave enough towels and the next day they wouldn't. We didn't complain to the front desk, so they should not be held accountable. It wasn't that big of a deal for us, and we took it in stride. I have no doubts that the manager would have addressed this if we had complained. I have already recommended this property to family and friends! June 28, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rude Front Desk Personnel When we made our reservations we requested an early check coming in from Florida (Auto Train). We were told by the reservationist no problem "he understood the tiredness of the long train ride, just to arrive at the hotel upon our arrival in Washington". We arrived around 2:00pm. First off the cuff was food thawing on the check in counter. Obviously pastries for the morning breakfast. I asked the Desk Clerk to move the food so I could have somewhere to sit my handbag and he said no; that check in was where he was standing and not where the food was placed on the registration desk. He also informed us we were early and could not check in until 3pm and asked my husband and I to leave and come back at 3. WE WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. Our room had stains in the ceiling and dirty wash cloths; not good. June 28, 2013

Now the bad news...The internet dropped connection every two or three hours the entire 14 days I was there. The cable system had about 20 channels tops. I know for a sight seer vacationer its no big deal but for an extended visitor it was annoying and it made working from the room difficult if not impossible at times. The paper stopped about the 3rd day but the staff would produce one if asked. The breakfast was weak. Best thing was the coffee. The room had stains in the ceiling and just had the appearance of old and worn out. They are working hard and I talked to the manager a number of times as he asked for input during breakfast a number of times while I was there. That shows they care. With alittle work this could be a real good hotel but right now...not so great. May 16, 2013

The Internet was always lousy. the cable system had far too few channels. the morning paper stopped being dropped off at the door after the second day of a 14 day stay. thee room was good. The staff attentive which made up for most of the inferior things. If your a traveler for a few days this is a fine hotel. If your an extended visitor or plan to work from the hotel stay somewhere else. Its pricey for what you get and where it is. May 16, 2013
