This Holiday Inn Express was excellent. The check in was welcoming and efficient. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We felt cared for at this Holiday Inn Express. It also is conveniently located by the highway.

The hotel was very new. A little hard to find due to not being on our car's GPS. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a very quit area and the heating system was very quit and kept the room temperature very comfortable. Very clean in all areas.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Rude Front Desk
The front desk girl in the morning on weekdays is extremely rude. Asking for a shuttle is greeted with a smug. I am still staying here and will ask her name next time and will post it in my second review.
If they don't like the job, they can quit. Being rude to customers who give over 100 nights a year is not done.

Nice new Holiday Inn Express. Stayed 2 nights for business travel and had a good experience. Front Desk staff are very friendly and helpful.

The South Point location is really nice! I was expecting a much more basic room based on my travel contract and was pleasantly surprised when I walked into my room. Lots of amenities and space! I wasn't able to enjoy the pool of fitness room this visit, but did eat breakfast each morning, and really enjoyed the variety each day. The house blend coffee was pretty tasty and I enjoyed the evening cookies. My bed was great and was loaded down with pillows. Also a nice change from Chicago hotel TVs, the reception and picture quality was great. My only complaint would be the internet seemed spotty at time and slow. I had better luck tethering my laptop to my phone and working then the using the house internet a few nights of my stay. All in all I would totally come back and would recommend to anyone that is visiting Pittsburgh/Cannonsburgh PA.

This is a stylish, new property with a very modern layout and rooms. In fact, I have seen few Holiday Inn Expresses that look so impressive. The wifi is good, which is reassuring to business travelers. There is also a large lobby and main floor.
Here’s where the property fails, in my opinion. First, the A/C unit has no constant fan. I use a white-noise app to drown out sound, but it seems like a major oversight in 2015 to have a unit that won’t let you run a fan without playing the constant game of changing the temp. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom, so expect to be steamed out. And all of the employees I encountered were rude. Every single one — so much so that I made sure to e-mail the general manager. I never heard back, which is fine, but since I am from the area originally, I feel bad for other travelers who have that impression of Pittsburgh based on the interaction with the hotel staff. I stood at the desk for a while before the employees, who were bantering with each other, noticed me. One last observation: don’t expect your welcome amenity points anytime quickly. At least they showed up, but it took about three weeks.

This hotel was relatively new, and had great customer service. I am always cautious about giving and taking online reviews, but I want to ensure I left a good review for people whom are cautious about booking a hotel someplace you've never been.
The price was fantastic; the room was clean; and the staff were very courteous!
Although they do have a pool, it was very cold and there is no hot tub.
The coffee and tea area should be moved to a different corner of the breakfast area to cut down on congestion of lines during breakfast hours.
