Zimmer klein und laut, leider auch nicht klimatisiert. Das Frühstück typisch für Holiday Inn Express - es reicht zur Sättigung. Die BAr ist nett, das Personal sehr entgegenkommend. Although check-in was not until 3-00 p.m. and we had to get ready for a funeral 10 miles away for 3-15 p.m.,they checked us in early as to avoid any rush. Spotless accommodation & would definitely recommend the Holiday Inn Express to all . July 26, 2014

We needed to know a good City centre car park, the reception gave us a map and looked up the post code for the car park, this proved very useful. Overall a very good experience. July 23, 2014

Zimmer waren gut, Frühstück war gut, Mitarbeiter waren nett. Lage direkt an der Autobahn war leiser als erwartet, gut abgeschirmt. Einzig negativ war die Zufahrt, wir mussten lange suchen. Würden das Hotel auf jeden Fall noch einmal nehmen. 10 Minuten bis zur Innenstadt. July 11, 2014

Express before and this was in line with what I expected on the way back from France at beginning of July The only downside of the stay was that our room (201) was directly above the kitchen and we had to put up with the noise of the kitchen extract fans from early morning. Also the room was strifiling as it was quite warm outside and we couldn't open the window because the smell of cooked food which was coming from the kitchen was drifting across and into our bedroom window. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Canterbury Stop-over An excellent stop-over before driving to Europe. The staff were very friendly and the Hotel is clean, very comfortable and I highly recommend it. I would suggest having a safe in the room would be appreciated by guests. The bar area was very nice and relaxing after a long drive but I would like to have been given coasters when I ordered my drinks. I would not hesitate to use this Hotel again and I plan to do so in September. If all the group's hotels are of this quality I will be extremely satisfied. A great place to stay. July 7, 2014

Dirty towel left hanging over bathroom door on arrival in room Very hard, uncomfortable mattress Bar unable to provide a decaf cappuccino at midnight and gave a decaf instant (sachet) coffee at £4.70 for two - I could have made this in the room with complimentary facilities Overall poor service at breakfast - no staff appeared to clear up and keep buffet topped up and cleaned. No bacon - I appreciate only 3 items need to be offered at a HIE but choice of sausage, egg and beans (every time) is tedious!!! July 5, 2014

Es un hotel por lo general limpio (a pesar de que en las escaleras para subir a las habitaciones olia a humedad) y con unas instalaciones aceptables. El desayuno podria mejorar ya que es un muy basico. No tuvimos ningun problema a excepcion de la ducha en el bano que perdia agua y tenia menos presion. Muy Buena ubicacion. July 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A good hotel within easy reach of Canterbury by car We were on our 3rd visit to Holiday Inn Express, Canterbury and still enjoyed it. The staff made us welcome on arrival and were smiling as usual. The breakfast was good and there were items to suit most people. We also thought it was a nice touch that the waiter came and took our trays when we finished which kept the dining room looking nice. Enjoyed a glass of Pimms in the evening as it was summer - please continue to do this! Hope to return as there is always lots to do in Canterbury with its wonderful heritage. July 3, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by If you want good, reasonable accommodation - here it is An ideal base for visiting Kent. Our party of four spent three nights in the hotel. After spending each day visiting places of interest, it was good to go back to the hotel, relax with a drink and then have dinner. A wide choice of food was offered but I feel the desserts could be better. Other than the desserts we felt the food was good and we enjoyed our meal each evening. We, of course, started with breakfast and here again it was good with plenty of variety to suit everyone. The staff were excellent and the trainee on the desk was lovely. When we return to Kent we will definitely stay at The Holiday Inn Express. June 25, 2014

Staff - presumably cleaning staff - started talking in loud voices from about 5.30 am in the room next door to ours. As it was intermittent I managed to get some sleep until I finally got up. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good nights sleep We have stayed here many times and we have always had a good nights sleep.The breakfast area needs some attention,we only saw 3 children but there was egg,beans and cereals spilt all over the floor.Why do you let children help themselves,the parents should be with them all the while.I am disabled and I have to be careful that I do not slip over.The chairs are mostly worn and need replacing..This is the worst that we have seen this place and it needs these matters looked at. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday In Canterbury is a great value for location This hotel is an excellent value for its location which is within easy driving distance from the historic city of Canterbury. The staff were very friendly and efficient - the room was clean/comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was excellent. It was a terrific value in England where many hotels charge extra (the equivalent of $15 per person) for breakfast, with fewer food options. The bar appeared to be well-stocked and the facility was up to date with free parking. Only caution - access from highway is one-way, so be sure and have your route mapped out when nearing the hotel, so you know which turn to take. Would recommend! June 13, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Freies Parken für 10,00 GBP; 1 Nacht - zweifach abgebucht Schade, der Umgang mit dem Geld wird hier nicht zur Kundenzufriedenheit erledigt. Auf der Original Website vom Holiday Inn gebucht und die Option Parken bekommen für 10 Pfund extra. Kannten wir schon, kostete es in Cardiff auch. Vor Ort dann hundert freie kostenlose Parkplätze. Auf Nachfrage vor Ort im Hotel bekamen wir die Antwort, die Parkplätze seien kostenfrei. Unsere 10 Pfund bekamen wir aber nicht wieder, trotzdem das Angebot ohne Parkplatz Option immer noch für den Tag online zu buchen war. Zu Hause dann der zweite Hammer: auf der Kreditkarten Abrechnung taucht das Hotel zweimal auf - einmal mit EUR und einmal mit GBP. Fazit: ICH werde dort nicht noch einmal übernachten, für alle abenteuerlustigen: Das Hotel an sich ist in Ordnung, sauber und nicht zu groß. Es liegt halt direkt an einer Hauptstraße die man in den Zimmern auch hört. Das Frühstück ist sehr übersichtlich gewesen. June 10, 2014
