First stay in an Express, and did not have very high expectations having been less than happy with some similar
budget hotel chains in USA.
We were pleasantly surprised.

I really enjoyed the break with my friend. Neither of us had been to Canterbury before. The Holiday Inn though not in the City Centre was accessible by a 20 minute Bus journey from Canterbury City Centre. We managed to travel on public transport, however on a rainy day which we experienced during our stay I would have preferred having my vehicle as we had to do a 10-15 minute walk to the hotel. Please don't wear high heels, if like us you are without your own transport :-)
Apart from the distance of the hotel from the City Centre the stay at the hotel was very pleasant with adequate amenities to keep us comfortable with only good Canterbury tales to take home with us. Thank you to the staff member who assisted us with finding our way to the hotel on our first night when we magically met you on the bus. You were an Angel. Thank you all the staff for making our stay a welcome break and providing us with a room at the Inn.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dawn.Nottm Excellent Value Overnight Stop
We had an excellent value Wowcher deal. The hotel is clean and well-equipped. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Dinner was good and excellent value. Breakfast was OK (sausage and scrambled egg not good but plenty of continental style choice). The room was comfortable, even though the furnishings were a little past their best. Next to a main road so there is some road noise, but it didn’t prevent us sleeping. Overall a good value overnight stop.

My partner and I spent two nights at this hotel at the start of April and from the moment we arrived we felt relaxed. The hotel was clean and smart and the rooms very comfortable. The food was great value and the choice for breakfast excellent. The staff were polite and helpful too. Would definately recommend this hotel and we will certainly be going back

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Klepperman Good base to explore Kent.
We chose this hotel as our main base to explore and enjoy Kent. It was on a main arterial road which gave us good access to get from A to B efficiently, giving a more time to explore the area.
Another reason for choosing the hotel was it had ample and safe car parking.
We were very satisfied with our overall stay here.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bob67coventry good location for exploring
The hotel entrance was joined to the petrol station and I drove past on my first pass. The access could be better advertised. The staff were very helpfull but there is no lift to the upper floor. Ground floor needed for the frail. The restarant menu was better than expected and the quality was excellant. Slimming World guests should be happy as I was able to still loose 21/2 lbs over the 3 days and I ate and drank well. I would stay here again the next time I am in the area.
