Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good reading chair and uncrowned room The front desk found a room with one bed that provides more room and a good reading chair. Breakfast were generous and diverse. The restaurant next door was an advantage. I have long believed in reusing towels as an environmental plus, but as long as maids ignore towels hung up to be reused, I find it troubling. The ones that I tried to speak with spoke not a word of English, so if I were their employer I'd do two things: give them an environmental seminar in spanish, and I would also insist that they begin an English language program if they are going to work with a 90% English-speaking clientele. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Location for Overnight Stay My wife and I stayed here with a couple from Germany for a night before and after a trip to Key West. The hotel is about a 20 minute drive from the Key West Express ferry dock. There is a $2.00 toll to get back from Fort Myers Beach, so be prepared. The check-in and out routines were very efficient and the desk staff was very helpful. Each room in the hotel appears to have a small private balcony that you can sit on. There are two chairs provided for seating. We used ours to have a few drinks in the evening and got to listen to the live music from the restaurant across the street. There was just enough room for 4 of us to sit there although we had to move two extra chairs to the balcony. The hotel hallways are wide and well lit with large windows at each end. There is ample free parking available in the hotel's parking lot. We stayed in a double queen room. There was a small table in the room, but no desk. The beds were firm, but comfortable and we got a good night's sleep after the very loud music stopped (around 10 PM# from the restaurant across the street. There is a small refrigerator in the room. The hotel has free wi-fi for its guests. And there are two computers with a printer in the lobby available for guest's use. The room itself was clean and thankfully did not have an overwhelming air freshner smell that I have encountered in a few other HIE's recently. The shower had adequate water flow and there was an exhaust fan in the bathroom. However, the ceiling in the bathroom is less than 7' high. Therefore, I had to bend my arm when rinsing under my arms. Since I am only 5'10", I imagine this could be a major issue for anyone much over 6' tall. While the bathroom was not dirty, I did notice a stain on the floor in the corner that should have been cleaned up. There are many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and the hotel has different deals with many of them for their Priority Club members #the deals differ from one restaurant to another#. The breakfast each morning was the usual HIE fare. The first morning we were up early and there were very few people in the dining area. The second morning we were there later in the morning and the dining area was very full, but there still appeared to be enough seating for everyone. I was very impressed with the breakfast crew since the food was constantly restocked and they never ran out of anything in spite of the large number of people eating. March 16, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Find another hotel. Not only is this hotel priced too high for its class, but this hotel is noisey, in a noisey area and not as clean as a hotel should be. I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, and every day the trash cans outside were overflowing with garbage and cigarettes. The woman checking me in was rude, unpleasant and did not even look up at me while helping me, i guess she was too comfortable sitting down without shoes on to help the guests. The room I stayed in had a distinct odor coming from the bath tub drain, which also did not drain water, so while I was showering I was standing in dirty water from a backed up pipe. Unfortunately, almost all other hotels in this area were priced even higher, so I was stuck to pay the price at this "motel". I would not recommend this property to anyone visiting Cape Coral and I also will not be returning. March 15, 2013

The staff was very accomodating to all of our needs; the compimentary breakfast was one of the best ones we've had. Everyone behind the desk and the staff attending the buffet breakfast were efficient and friendly. The honesty of the staff was tremendous. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again in the future. Just as a note the first floor of this hotel allows dogs under 20 lbs. which did not deter from the overall excellence of the hotel. March 9, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT except for one small glitch we stayed @ this location for 2 nights. On the 2nd afternoon we began to have trouble w/ our bathroom sink. We could not get it to "unplug", therefore it just continued to fill up with our toothbrushing water, etc., and after awhile became rather gross. In the evening when we called the desk to report it, we were #nicely# told that there was no one to look @ it, and there were no other rooms available #we weren't really interested in moving since we were leaving the following morning#. Otherwise a great location ! The employees @ the desk were great and the breakfast bar ladies worked hard ! to keep the items supplied. It would be nice if there were a hot tub....... ;) March 6, 2013

There are a good variety of restraunts to chosse from, some within walking distance. Our choice and recommendation is Brew Babies. Do not let the name mislead, it is the best menu, service, and presentation I have expierencedin a long time. February 9, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great value and super clean I reviewed numerous properties before securing my reservation with this particular one. It is by far the best rate for the quality. Very clean rooms, excellent housekeeping services, complimentary breakfast was excellent. Nice pool area. The only downfall is that there are 2 bars/clubs behind the hotel, and they play music until 11pm, and it is loud! However, we turned on the A/C and that drowned it out, so I didn't really make a big deal about it. All the positives outweighed this one thing. I would definitely stay here again since I know what to expect. January 29, 2013

I'll never stay there again. Terribly nights sleep. I just came back to Holiday Inn after leaving for 4 years. I stay at 220 hotel nights a year and this stay was my top 5 worst. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super comfortable bed and pillows We have been staying at this hotel for over 4 years. Every one of our stays was wonderful. The beds are comfy and the pillows are super comfy. The breakfast menu is changed everyday. It is hot and very tasty. Everything is fresh and the cinnamon rolls are delicious! The best coffee too. The maids arrive early in the morning and when you get back to your room in the afternoon, the rooms are nice and clean. The staff is pleasant and very helpful. It is nice to see the same faces year after year. The location is great, near a lot of restaurants. The pool is relaxing and always super clean. We have stayed at other hotels in this area and can't find anything that compares to this one. December 6, 2012

The staff has always been friendly, helpful and attentive to all our needs. The majority of the team players have enjoyed their stay and have requested to continue staying at the hotel. The breakfast meals have provided the team with the necessary energy to play several games during the day. The staff insured that there was plenty of food and it was very good tasting. I would not recommend this place to stay if you need your sleep and needed to relax. The staff was great, the breakfast was very good with a menu change each morning. November 5, 2012
