I travel often and have stayed at many hotels. Since becoming a priority club platinum member thanks to my stay at Holiday Inn Express in Easton (really knows how to treat their guests) I have been biased to Holiday Inns. My stay at the Meadow lands just reassured that biased clean rooms, recognition of members, room upgrades, delicious free breakfast, lovely front desk clerk, and it is being newly renovated. This was certainly my best stay yet.

I average 240 nights in hotels around the world each year. Holiday Inns and Holiday Inn Express hotels are my favorites! This hotel rates with the best. The staff and facilities are excellent and I would match them with any 5 star hotel anywhere in the world. This particular hotel has gone on my personal list of places to stay again and again. My thanks to the staff and management.

We (myself, my husband and my two teenage daughters) really enjoyed our stay at Meadowlands area Holiday Inn. The room was outstanding in every aspect. Very clean, updated (newly renovated). Close to New York City, close to public transportation to take you in to the city. Staff was very friendly and forthcoming. Can't complain about anything. The only minor thing was that the pool was not open due to construction but it wasn't that important to us. Highly recommend this hotel. Enjoy your stay.

This property is being renovated and the work being done is awsome. The chioce in furniture and colors is great. Wonderfull staff and great amenities. Breakfest was really good. I loved this hotel and would come back when in the area.

We stayed at this hotel for a trip to NYC for 2 nights, we really liked it we considered staying for an extra night. Unfortunately we had to move to the city for a wedding on the next day and couldnt stay at the Holiday Inn. The newly renovated rooms are great, the bed is really comfortable, the choice of soft or firm pillow was much appreciated. The new carpet makes the room look really clean, wish it stays like this. When we walked into our room we realized we had a jacuzzi which we used to it's full extent everyday!! We had no issues with the hotel, staff was friendly and we dont expect people to be friendly to us when we travel to the New York or New Jersey but they offered everything we needed. Breakfast is good, although there arent many "healthy" options available other than fat free yogourt and fruit, the breakfast option was tasty at least.We've been staying at this hotel every time we travel to NYC and we plan on coming back.

I was in the NJ area for a conference that was being held at a neighboring highrise hotel, and I must admit the room and service were much better. At HIE I got immediate friendly customer service, and all my questions were answered honestly and to my satisfaction. The location was right for me as well, because I could use the back roads as my jogging route and could safely stay away from the traffic. Other conveniences were close so everything was absolutely great! I always love the beds at HIE, I have never found one to be saggy! This HIE was remodeling at the time I was there, which didn't interfere with any of my activities. All in all it was a great place to stay, and if ever I'm in that area again, I will stay there again. And for those who are curious, NYC was only a short 15 minute drive.

Very nice hotel. They are going through some renovations, but according to the website the pool was to be open MAY 1st, but still wasn't open for our stay on MAY5th. That was the only misleading information we recieved. The staff were extremely friendly, and happy to help, or move out of the way if needed. AWESOME place to stay in future. (Especially if they fix that pool).
Short distane to bus stop to NYC...Whole reason we stayed in Jersey was to avoid coslty parking in city. They also were very afforadable!

I read that this hotel was both newly refinished and clean prior to booking. I am writing to let others know that the reviews were correct. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were decorated nicely. Loved the reading lights attached to the headboard. Would highly recommend this hotel.

We decided to make last minute plans to visit NYC during spring break. When we checked with NY area hotels, the prices were really inflated. We then checked on this hotel through the priority club website and were able to make a reservation during the week preceding the weekend of our arrival. The pros of this place is ease of getting there, newly remodeled rooms, cleanliness of the rooms, choices in breakfast , price and ease of getting to Port Authority using the NJ area transit bus. The bus service was convenient and the bus ran every 15-20 minutes. The staff was courteous and friendly. One thing that surprised us was that we had booked a suite and just like all the other suites were under the impression that there will be a bedroom with a small separate sitting area with a sofa bed. However the suite was really a larger room which accommodated a king bed and a sofa bed in the same room. This would be helpful to clarify on the website for people who are looking for a bit more privacy so that they have accurate information about the room when making a reservation. It worked out fine for us. Overall, a good place to stay and I would consider this place next time when I visit NY/NJ area.

As we walked in my daughter and I noticed one of the staff had a duster and was dusting the extremely small decorative hole on a table by the front desk. (It’s all about details) The check was effortless and the young lady at the desk was very professional but sweet . As we entered the three rooms, we noticed they were very clean and functional. The pool and pool area was clean. And in order to celebrate my daughter’s birthday the staff made the pool area available for our use… what a pool party it was! We had a blast! The breakfast buffet was bountiful and delicious. Thanks to all the staff for a great stay

Very nice job on the updates to the hotel with it's face lift with appearance. The rooms look great !
I did however not appreciate the earliness of some of the construction noises that started as early as 6:45 in the morning.

Recently stayed at this location for WrestleMania weekend. It was conveniently located less than a mile from the venue & a good launching off point for any other activities I had planned over the course of 5 days.
The staff is very friendly & the hotel is clean. It's in the midst of a remodel, but this didn't impact my ability to relax & unwind. If you need someplace to stay after anything in the Meadowlands area, I HIGHLY recommend this location.

This was by far one of the best hotel stays I have had. The rooms were completely new and beautiful. Breakfast was delicious, and the service was great. It's a block from the metro to take you into Time Square. I will definitely consider staying here when I come back!

Clean rooms, friendly and very helpful staff, excellent hot breakfast with a lot of choices.
Hotel was under renovation but very little inconvenience and noi major issues due to the renovation. Breakfast area was inclined to get crowded due to small area because of renovation but this will make it better when completed.
Very quiet and comfortable.

I stay at HI and HI Express hotels quite often. Unfortunately this was not up to the quality I expected.
I got in the room and tried the WIFI. It was down, so I reached for the phone to call the front desk. The phone was also not working... So I went to the front desk and they sent a service man. He said that the phones are new and had not charged yet... Not a great excuse in my opinion.
The repair guy fixed the phone but the wireless internet was not working. Thus to have any connection at all I needed to use a small cable that barely made it to the desk. The repair man said he would look for another cable but I never heard from him again. This made using the computer difficult as I often spread work on the bed and work from there.
In the morning I went to take a shower and found that there was no shower head... Just a pipe.
No, "Sorry sir," or offer to make it right by the hotel... As a Gold Level Priority Club member I am disappointed.

We've stayed at this hotel a few times with no issues, but this was the best yet. You name it, it gets a passing grade: parking, hotel staff, cleanliness, breakfast options, no bathroom issues (e.g. sink, toilet, shower), very comfortable bed, convenient little fridge and microwave, decent TV with many HD channels, etc...
All this, and just a few minutes from Manhattan... without all the Manhattan prices.
Very conveniently located, and highly recommendable.

The property is being renovated. I stayed in a non smoking room, however you could smell smoke in the room and down the hall from the smoking rooms. The front desk girl could have been more cheerful.

Wanting to have a great New Years Eve, we decided to stay here despite the outrageously inflated prices; we were willing to pay the amount to have a relaxing and fun experience. We get to our room and try to relax in the short amount of time we had before dinner but we were soon called to say my card was declined. The room was already paid for but they were saying it was declined over the insurance fee.. Either way, we go downstairs to find out what is wrong.. and are given ATTITUDE. Finally I suggested that they just try to run the card again, maybe they put the numbers in wrong. The girl agreed, again with attitude and as if she was trying to "humor me" After she did it, it immediately went through. She HAD put the numbers in wrong the first time. After a few awkward minutes, WE apologized to them and went back upstairs, which is ridiculous. They never apologized for embarrassing me for no reason, or for taking time out of my vacation all due to their mistake. That's when we went back upstairs and went through the kitchen, to find a plastic plate with dirt and food all over the bottom. Later we tried to request a late check out, a perk meant for priority members that we signed up for and were told that they don't do that. Poor customer service and a dirty kitchen, thanks so much! Never coming back.

The staff at the hotel are amazing. The hotel itself was spotless. The room was very comfortable, we all had a good nights sleep. The kids enjoyed the heated pool after a long day in NYC. The breakfast was plentiful with many choices. We always stay in the Meadowlands area for convenience and price during New Years Eve to see the ball drop in Times Square. The 163 bus stops across the street and takes you into the Port Authority bus station in 10 minutes, a 5 minute walk from Times Square. Highly recommend this hotel. We would definitely stay there again. Special shout out to Frances and Kimberly at the front desk who were awesome and Jessica at Guest Services in Salt Lake.

I received a charge on my statement that needed to be removed. I explained to the young lady at the front desk that I needed a receipt for business expense reports. She was having problems with getting the charge removed and promised me that I would have a copy of the revised billing sent to my email that afternoon.
It has been a week and I still have not received my final billing statement.
Without that statement, I will be held personally responsible for that hotel bill.
