Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Nice Hotel
My wife and I rode the motorcycle from Ohio and stayed overnight on our way to Gatlinburg. It was 90+ degrees on our ride and the pool was very nice once we arrived. The hotel is newer, the rooms are very large which is nice. The other couple we were traveling with had car troubles on the way and the staff was willing to help out with referals to local mechanics. Breakfast was good with lots to eat. Only negative thing I could say is that the elevator was probably the slowest one I've ever been on. Liquor barn across the street very convienent too. Would stay here again for sure.

Nice stop traveling to Indiana from Hilton Head. Very reasonable rate for the night stay. Breakfast was average for a Holiday Inn Express. Biggest issue was the lack of decent dinner choices near the hotel. Get dinner before you arrive to the exit. i was not recognized as a IHG Rewards Club Member, first time when stopping at an Express.

The cooling system did not work properly,it did no good to set the thermostat on the wall, also microwave never worked properly ,you could punch in the desired time,it would do it's own setting and refrigerator never kept things cool, this was room 314,I rented 3 rooms,318 never used theirs, nor did 322,but the cooling was o.k. in those rooms If ever I book a room there again ,I will ask that it be checked out We had at least 10 rooms, for a reunion at cove lake, everyone stayed at the Holiday Inn Express.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DanFromIndiana They'll give you extra sheets to sleep on the floor
I booked this room online after indicating that there would be five people (2 adults, 3 children) in my party. Since the reservation system said the room would accommodate the size of my party, I (wrongly) assumed that there would either be a sleeper sofa or a roll-away for the fifth person. However, when I called the hotel on the day of our arrival to remind them of our late arrival, I was told that there are only the two beds in the room and they don't have roll-aways. They did offer to provide an additional set of sheets so that someone could sleep on the floor! No thank you!
We had another 10 hours of driving ahead of us the next morning, which we managed despite having to sleep two adults and an 8-year old in one bed.
Also, the soap dishes in shower were sloped to the extent that anything you put on there (soap, shampoo, razor, etc.) slid off into the tub. Not very useful.
On the bright side, breakfast was good. Lots of choices, although the automatic pancake dispenser wasn't working properly.

Very nice hotel. appears to be fairly new. The breakfast was very well stocked and the biscuits and gravy are just what you would expect from a southern restaurant.
