Although the staff was friendly...the room and elevator was not. The room was neat and clean but pillows were terrible and the refrigerator froze everything even when turned down! NOTHING could make up for the elevator! Whoever thought it would be a great idea to put in an elevator that dings upon arrival and departure in a hotel that only has 2 floors ought to be fired!!!!! The ding is a loud and long synthesized ding not pleasing to the ear at all especially at night!

The best Holiday Inn Express I've stayed far and away..Great friendly staff and the very nice and clean rooms. Close to 20 yrs.been staying here and not 1 bad experience !

I wish the pillows weren't so flat. They provided many but because of how flat they were I had to use several and then had a headache most of the 4 days I was there. It's a very nice hotel and beautiful location so I would totally come back! Many nice places to eat close by too! There was a nice little pond out back too which was nice to look at when sitting on the picnic table :)

Upon making my arrangements to stay in Celina, I called the front desk five days ahead of our stay and was assured two double beds for four people. I was informed they had overbooked, but since I was platinum member, I would get the room mentioned above.
Upon entering our room, we noticed one large king sized bed.....for four people. I immediately called the front desk, since obviously, we had been sent to the wrong room. To my surprise, this was NOT a mistake!! This was to be our room for the evening. I was told there were no roll-away beds available, but they would bring extra blankets and make a spot on the floor for us to sleep. THAT WAS A FIRST!! Are you kidding me?? My daughter immediately hit the internet....have you ever been asked to sleep on the floor by a hotel....I HAVE!!
I understand there was a tractor show in town and the place was full, but we talked on the telephone back and forth with the front desk for about ten minutes before a lady checking into the hotel overheard the conversation and gladly changed rooms with us. She and her husband were assigned two double beds and four of us were assigned one king bed. So not only did this hotel suggest we sleep on the floor, but a guest solved the problem instead of the staff!! Unbelievable!!!
I do not want the charges for this room reversed.

Nothing special and way over priced for a small town which doesn't have much to do. Comfortable bed and clean room. Whole place just smells like a pool full of chlorine. Better and nicer and cheaper in a bigger city. Will not return. For a few bucks more u can stay on the lake and have a kitchen and everything.

This hotel was conveniently located 15 minutes from the Eldora Speedway. Upon checking in, the front desk clerk was very accommodating and greeted us with a smile. The rooms were clean and comfy and the hotel sat next to a small man made pond. Wal-Mart is right across the street along with a few nice restaurants. We would definitely stay again :)

Nice hotel with friendly staff and comfortable rooms. The entrance is just very strange. There are two separate doors to enter, very difficult to manage when you are trying to enter and pulling your luggage. It's almost like it's a security area where they can lock one door. I've just never seen this type of entrance at a hotel and it really was annoying each time we entered and exited.

* Disappointed at the customer service at this location.
* Was not greeted as a Priority Club Member, was not
given any overview of the amenities: breakfast hours, wake-up service, or offer to call if I needed anything once I was in my room.
* Very disappointed at when I asked the front desk attendant who checked me in the closest restaurant...she said there is one on property but since it is cold I might want to drive. When I asked if I could walk she said yes. I began to walk and there was NO sidewalk and access to adjoining parking lots to the street where the restaurant was located would have been to cross long areas of grass/mud. When I returned to tell her her directions were not correct there was NO one at the front desk and I waited for 5 minutes.
* I called for a wake-up call and asked the attendant to please call my room to be sure the phone was working. She called my room but the phone ring was very quiet. I told her about this and she said to slide the bar to the high side. I told her both phones were slid to the high side and she said well that's all I can tell you.
* Worst was when checking-out, I had to leave @5am and there was no front desk attendant but it appeared the breakfast attendant was doing double-duty. I said Good Morning--I am checking out and she did not even look at me or spoke. I asked for another invoice that shows I checked out and she did not look at me...sighed...and waited for it to print and just laid it on the counter...no eye contact...no placing it in my hand. I tried to see if she had a problem that maybe I could help but she hung her head. I did ask since I was leaving so early if the juice machine was working and she without looking at me said "yea".
I don't understand why the level of customer service is being delivered so low at this location. There were a few other hotels in the area and if this is the normal for your Holiday Inn Express then maybe I should take my business elsewhere. It is hard to travel all day...and then provide a smile to the hotel and not get one in return. Customers are the reasons why a hotel is in business and I firmly believe this location needs a refresher course.

The staff at this property went above and beyond to accommodate us as we were in town for family business. Everyone from the front desk staff, housekeeping to management was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We always love the hospitality shown to us, and we stay almost exclusively with HIE when traveling. We appreciated the "bereavement" policy you have, as we traveled from Atlanta to NC, then to OH and back to GA (2 funerals).
The only inconvenience seemed to be the absense of a desk in our room, and a chair for sitting. There was a small round table with 2 dining chairs, however.
Thanks again; we'll return, for sure!!

I checked in to the hotel and found out that not every room has a fridge and microwave. I thought in this day and age it was expected like a bed and a tv.
The desk clerk was nice enough to put me in a room with both those items without charging me the extra charge for these.
One other thing to note, is there is no laundry utilities at this location so plan accordingly. Luckily I had enough clothes for my stay, but if I was there any longer I would of been out of luck.
