I was here only one night for business, but the front desk staff was amazing when I checked in and through out the stay. He made sure that I felt welcomed and recognized as a regular Holiday Inn Customer (even though it was my first time at this location). I could not ask for a better experience.

Miranda was our clerk and when we talked she took me through five or six discounts that might apply to me and found one that worked perfectly. Except for a squeaky bathroom door all was great; very clean room and just great staff. Even on checkout they were great asking if they could do anything else for us.

I left my lunch box in a cabinet in the hotel room. The manager called me and asked if I was coming back to the hotel when I told him I was returning by another route he mailed the lunch box to me.
I was very happy to receive it because I am on a special food plan and use it frequently. i am very grateful to the manager for returning it to me.

I had to book a room within 24 hours. the staff was extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with. the room was very comfortable and clean. I was visiting my dad who was dying of cancer and everyone at the Holiday Inn Express made it stress free so I could focus on my dad. the morning breakfast was great too. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The (male) clerk who checked us in was courteous and efficient. After getting settled, we called for dinner recommendations and a second clerk (female) told us about a very good Thai restaurant and even had directions printed for us when we passed through the lobby! These little customer service examples are what can make the difference between a decent stay and a great one!

When I have traveled in the past I tried to stay at HI whenever possible. So we were looking forward to our stay in Medford. When I made my reservation I asked to be put in a room on the top floor and the girl at the front desk said it was not possible. I was checking in around 4:00pm and the hotel was almost empty, so I could not understand why this could not be done. In the past at most of HI I stayed in they went out of their way to take care of my need.
The room we were given was on the first floor next to the exit door and most of the evening heard the door being opened and closed. Also the walls of this hotel are very thin and you can hear may things that are going on in the next room, at 5:00am the next morning it sounded like a water pipe broke as we thought water was going to come out of the wall.
At 8:00am I went to the front desk and asked to be moved and this same girl said all the rooms were taken and had an attitude that was not concerned if I was taken care of or not.
So we checked out and HI lost two days of business.

We got a room which was located above air conditioning units which were causing noise while working. Our room also was facing the gas station and parking lot for tracks. Some of them were running engines all night causing additional noise. We were very tired from a long drive and were hoping to get a good night sleep but because of noise it was impossible to relax. We tried to request another room but they all were booked. We usually prefer Holiday Inn Express but this time it wasn't the best experience for us.

I stayed her once before, and got the room I wanted. This trip, without a reservation, I took the last room, feeling I should get off the highway after a long day. My mistake. All that was left was a "smoking" room. It was awful. It was across from the indoor pool. I couldn't get away from the bad odor. Outside the room, chlorine, inside ashtray. I won't do that again...ever.

Pulled in off the highway without reservations around 1900. Had good room available and were able to meet the high floor, away from the freeway side. Very nice check in staff.
Room was clean and attractive, plenty of room in 2 Queen.
The breakfast is the standard HIE fair. Not delicious but good enough to start the day and hold you over until lunch.

Two rooms booked and no preference for king or queen. What do we get? Keys to the two most smelliest rooms I have ever had to stay in (oh no, there was this hostel dorm room in the Middle East back in the backpacking days that was actually worse). Come on Holiday Inn Express - if you need to sell your smoking rooms to someone that is fine but don't surprise us (family with your children) with it at the reception desk. That is bad for us and reflects bad on your entire franchise. Clearly the compensation with an airfreshner spray can did not cut it.

Your staff at this facility "sell" this motel for you. Every staff person I communicated with was helpful, considerate and respectful. They provided a small refrigerater for me, knowing I was buying a few groceries to have on hand in the room. They offered to allow my family to use the conference room, if needed, to visit and look at family photos. They were very thoughtful. I plan to DEFINITELY arrage to come back next year for my fourth of July family visit.

My husband and I traveled from Idaho and stayed at the Central Point Holiday Inn Express. We were favorably impressed by the room and the breakfast which had more than we would have expected (pancakes, sausage, eggs, yogurt, cereal, coffee, juice, fruit - WoW! The staff were friendly and helpful. We will return! Well done!

When I checked in on the last night of my vacation there was no mention of my Gold status and when I asked about it I was told that they didn't give out water anymore they had "water for everyone in the lobby" and no welcome gift as they had "wrapped apples for everyone". When I booked the room on the IHC website there was no mention of this property not participating in the Priority Club program. It seems they are benefitting from Priority Club members but is not giving anything back. When we went down to breakfast it was a mess, tables not wiped down, items out and generally unkempt. The only redeeming factor was the checkout person, she was the only person that tried to help. I will not be staying at this property again.

The sheets were either stained or not clean, did not notice until next morning in the light of the sun. The single attendant at breakfast could not keep up, a lot of items were out and she was not very pleasant when questioned about them.

This property is our "go-to" place when we head to Ashland for shows. A person beats all the hassle of finding rooms in Ashland and this property has excelled in staffing each time we stay. If something is wrong with the room etc... they are very professional and make it right.

This was definitely one of the least favorable experiences I have had at a Holiday Inn. The internet was non-existent at best. The only way to access it was to stand on the bed in the corner and have my IPad near the ceiling. I was also in a room across from the pool and there seem to be a constant flow of running and yelling children in and out of the pool area. When we checked in the staff wasn't sure how to enter my Gold Member Elite Number. Also when we went to breakfast in the morning all the coffee was gone and no idea when it would be ready. I will not be staying at that hotel again.

Overall, my stay was very comfortable and relaxing. The room was very clean and nicely appointed. The facilities common areas were also clean and comfortable.
Located close to Interstate 5 and the Rogue Valley Airport (Medford), it is easy to find and provides a good location for travelers. I didn't notice any noise from either the freeway or the airport.
The pool, hot tub and exercise room were nice and plenty of towels were provided for swimmers. However, the pool was too cold to enjoy. I couldn't get in past my lower legs before having to retreat to the hot tub.
Overall, a very nice property with clean rooms, courteous staff and a great location.

We LOVE staying at this Holiday Inn Express!!! Margo takes GREAT pride and care of her guests in the dining room!!!! We did find that the pet poop bags were not kept stocked this time around. We enjoy returning to a clean and comfortable room!!! I look forward to a GREAT cup of coffee first thing in the morning!!!! The redesign on the door key needs to be changed back to a lighter color. It must be challenging for maintenance and housekeeping to carry out their job duties quietly while some guests are resting in their rooms during the afternoon. We plan to return in the fall.

This is the first time I did not have the feeling that the room was clean. The pillows where not as comfortable as become as expected in the past. The sheets & pillow cases did not smell or seemed to be pressed and clean.
