When I checked in, I asked for directions to Willow Hill, PA using the turnpike. The desk clerk, Ida, went on Mapquest several times, but none of the directions mentioned the turnpike. Sarah, who was coming on duty, helped in the process. Ida stayed beyond her quitting time, trying to simplify the directions, She called her husband, Jimmy, to enlist his help. Jimmy's directions were not only simpler, but took a lot less travel time for me!
The hotel itself was very nice; however the thing that stands out in my mind is the helpfulness of the front desk clerk, Ida who went above and beyond the call of duty.

The breakfast was not good. The scrambled eggs were over cooked and cold. The bagel was stale. The sausage gravey was cold. I have had much better food at other HIE locations that charged less for each stay.

We were lucky to have stopped here this evening. The lobby was turned into a cocktail party, complete with free beer, wings, pizza, and pasta from local businesses. Holiday Inn does some nice things to show their appreciation to their customers. A welcome bag with a bottle of water and snacks is always welcomed after travelling all day.
We will continue to be loyal to this chain because we know what to expect and we are never disappointed.

I always feel very comfortable when staying at this hotel. The staff in particular are very outgoing, courteous and they always do a great job of making everyone feel comfoprtable and welcome.

I normally don't write reviews, but I felt compelled to. I have been staying here for 5 years, once a month, and everyone in the hotel knows me. They treat me like family. They have taken care of me for years, special thanks to Roxanne and to Danielle, who has moved on now, but was a great manager.
Anyone who reads this, please try this property, you will not be disappointed.

I have to say I was quite disappointed from what a wonderful stay we had last year to a disappointing stay this year. First, we arrived a little later than we did last year, about 10pm. We have older girls 17 & 15 and the pool/hot tub was already closed. (These are older Girl Scouts- not party girls- with their parents) I understand there needs to be a time to close the pool and time to clean it but 10pm seems a little early. So no swimming/relaxing in hot tub. In the elevator and hall it smelled like cigarette smoke (I get migraines and cannot deal with smells like that) In our room on the 2nd floor, it was dusty in places and worn in others...you can see where the mirror was rehung, screws sticking out of diferent places, etc. :-( Heating was SO noisy and not regulated! I was hot then cold- up and down readjusting the heat...actually turning it down- thank goodness my family slept through the clicking on and off. My girls always joked about the 'rubber' pancakes at the Holiday Inn...I didn't think breakfast there could get bad until the ice cold decaf coffee :-( Had to throw it out and get caffine...which I probably needed after not sleeping all night. We had a GREAT review last year, I posted it on Trip Advisor. The hotel is easy to get to it is right off of 81 and has great amenities and staff... I wonder if we didn't get a room being redone but it still doesn't help the other issues. Only will recommend if you ask for NEW room.

We were traveling Thanksgiving Eve. Long distance. Looking forward to pulling off for a much needed break. The hotel itself was welcoming. Room very nice. Clean. We were Very Unhappy that the Pool and Hot Tub area closed at 10p. It was 10:15p. We are adults with NO Children. I do not understand why not keep the Hot Tub open for weary Travelers?? It also did not open until 10am. ?? We were long gone by then... a pre travel soak would have been good too!!

I travel quite a bit on business and this hotel has exceeded my expectations since I began staying there last year. The service is fantastic and the facilities are outstanding. Could not be more pleased. Out of 40+ nights a year that I spend in hotels, I have to say that this hotel has stood out as my best stay for the last two years!

All the staff was very friendly and helpful since I was a out of town visitor . When I ask about a good resturant in the area I was refered to one that not only served good food with good service & gave hoel guest a 10% discount . The Room was a good buy

We just love this place. Staff is always very friendly and accommodating. Service is great and the beds are very comfortable. We have been staying here at least twice a year for about 8 years now as we have family that lives in the area. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

I have stayed here numerous times for work and specifically 3 times since May. The staff is always helpful and nice; the rooms are clean and the breakfast is usually pretty good. The only issue I have had with this Hotel is the wireless Internet, as it's flaky at best and as an IT guy who works from the room some times on issues back at work it causes issues. Not sure if the hotel is just stuck with a subpar provider or needs to upgrade their equipment but this is the only issue I have had at this hotel. I would definitely recommend it to friends/family. Also it is located around and in close proximity to a lot of restaurants and bars.
