The night clerk adresses customers with the following statement, "The answer is yes!,Now tell me what do you need Mr. ____? A very positive additude toward service all the way around. I stay here about 20 days a year, and have been doing so for about two years. I have noticed steady improvements, since Ms. Cummings became the Manager. June 21, 2014

Jeneer was great, she welcomed me by name, everytime I came in during evening, whenever she was working the front desk. Jeneer was very helpful, when I needed to extend my stay from 13 nights to 16 nights. Great to be a Platinum member, to have guaranteed room availability. very quiet area, no road traffic noise. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bedding The breakfast area only provides limited seating when the hotel is filled, especially with students. I had to stand with my plate in my hand waiting for a seat at a table. I finally asked some of the students that had finished eating and were just talking to let others use the tables for eating purposes. Young people just are not aware of how to relate to the public as this experience displayed. April 16, 2014

We are greeted by name when we enter the building by a very polite young lady. Due to my wife's inability to walk, we stay in the same room on the ground floor each time. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Fair at best. After being denied early check-in, which I understand can't always be granted, by the time I did return I was given the worst room on the property. I was never greeted or acknowledged as a Platinum Club member and there was no room upgrade. I was in fact given the ground floor handicapped room although I'm not handicapped. I was assured it was a quiet room but it wasn't. The guy a the desk the next morning seemed unconcerned about my experience and offered no extra points or even an apology. While the location was good for my trip I think I shall look elsewhere for a hotel when I return to Chapel Hill. March 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Recent Stay in Chapel Hill I have stayed at the Chapel Hill Holiday Inn Express at least three to four times a year for the past five years. It is my home away from home. Every time I walk in the front door, the staff treats me like the "head of the household." I told Holiday Inn the last time I made reservations, that I would not visit a city without a Holiday Inn Express. Wonderful staff, wonderful service. March 5, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No Service We stayed here as parents with a team that came in town. My daughter had an issue with her room where one of her roommates clogged the toilet. They front desk said they didn't have anyone to send up to check it out that maintenance was gone and there were no other rooms to move them to. The toilet overflowed onto the carpet (it was NOT clear, so there was feces around). The toilet was unusable. They were told to plunge it themselves, which didn't work, and finally after quite some time (like maybe an hour or so) the front desk lady came up to try to plunge it. She then proceeded to walk into the bathroom, attempt to clear the toilet, which didn't work and then walked around their room and sat on one of the beds with her wet, dirty toilet water sneakers and hands and used the phone. she called maintenance (which should have been done immediately as there was a puddle on the floor) and told the girls they would show in about 30 minutes. The girls were already way past curfew, so had to come and two of them had to stay in my room for night. Thankfully my husband and I had a room with 2 beds instead of one king. I have never seen a hotel with that provided no help on such an incident. I won't be coming back or recommending it to anyone. This hotel needs to get their policies in order. February 24, 2014

Our daughter was having surgery at Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill and this hotel was suggested with a reduced rate for families needing overnight accommodations. The rates were very reasonable and we enjoyed the hotel, the staff and the breakfast. We would certainly stay there again if the need arises. December 24, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Do not honor room reservations We had planned in advance and reserved a King suite room. However, upon our arrival at 10 PM. We were informed that the King suite room that they were going to place us in was given away since the current occupant decided at the last minute to stay another night. Therefore, the other occupant was rewarded for failing to plan adequately and we were penalized and given a standard room with a king size bed. We were not given an option. Their poor management decision was basically forced upon us. They voluntarily reduced the room rate by $10–a very poor consolation as I would have preferred the King suite room. December 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location and up-to-date. We stayed at this hotel in Chapel Hill for several nights. The hotel is newer and very up to date as far as amenities and furnishings. The location is very convenient to I-40 but not sitting right on the highway. It is easy to get to Chapel Hill and only about 15 min from the Raleigh airport. The hotel has a very small breakfast room so each morning that we were there we could not find a place to sit. We ended up eating in the lobby instead. Good variety offered at breakfast. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service; responsive management and staff I recently returned to this hotel with a number of my colleagues... to attend a World View Community College Symposium at the Friday Center, UNC-Chapel Hill. I booked nine rooms, and all were ready for the individual arrival of each guest. The Manager (Catherine) and Assistant Manager (Tim), and front desk personnel (esp. Brendan) went out of their way to greet us and ensure that our stay was a pleasant one. I have stayed at this particular hotel numerous times in the past five or six years, and plan to do so in the future. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by VERY pleasant stay I reserved a room with two beds for my g.f. and I have to have girl friend weekend visiting my daughter and son-in-law who live 2 miles from the hotel. We were SO pleased with the great choices of food at the breakfast each morning. Also, that we could use the fitness room at the adjoining hotel that was larger and had free weights and more equipment. In the summer you can use their outdoor pool, which I plan to do next time I visit. Each staff person we talked with was friendly and knowledgeable. I will return! Thank you. November 20, 2013
