Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service; responsive management and staff I recently returned to this hotel with a number of my colleagues... to attend a World View Community College Symposium at the Friday Center, UNC-Chapel Hill. I booked nine rooms, and all were ready for the individual arrival of each guest. The Manager (Catherine) and Assistant Manager (Tim), and front desk personnel (esp. Brendan) went out of their way to greet us and ensure that our stay was a pleasant one. I have stayed at this particular hotel numerous times in the past five or six years, and plan to do so in the future. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by VERY pleasant stay I reserved a room with two beds for my g.f. and I have to have girl friend weekend visiting my daughter and son-in-law who live 2 miles from the hotel. We were SO pleased with the great choices of food at the breakfast each morning. Also, that we could use the fitness room at the adjoining hotel that was larger and had free weights and more equipment. In the summer you can use their outdoor pool, which I plan to do next time I visit. Each staff person we talked with was friendly and knowledgeable. I will return! Thank you. November 20, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient Location and Comfortable My husband and I used some reward points to stay here overnight on our way to Tennessee. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff was very friendly. We didn't eat breakfast there so I can't speak about the breakfast choices. I only got a cup of coffee. The hotel is located not far off I-40. We had a little trouble finding it at first because the sign was a little hard to see. We would definitely recommend this as a good place to stay and plan to use it again if we are in the area. October 14, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient location in RTP and helpful staff I stay frequently at this property because it is convenient to Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh and RTP. It is clean and pleasant, The staff at all functions is pleasant and helpful. This includes the managers, front desk personnel, breakfast service,maintenance and cleaning staff. For example, the cleaning staff clean my suite early so that I can use it for business meetings. I will continue to use this hotel as my preferred location in RTP even though a competitor's property is nearby at a lower nightly rate. October 7, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad odor in room and milk left in fridge Wouldnt recommend this hotel. The room had a horrible odor which made it hard to sleep. Housekeeping didn't check fridge when they "cleaned" because there was milk still in there from previous guests. Phone didn't work (and we found this out after my children got stuck in the elevator) had to use cell phone to call front desk! A little disappointed with staff especially next day when I checked out and told the guy at checkout my kids were the ones stuck in their elevator last night and how it took several firefighters to get them out...he laughed and said he heard about that. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by manager assistance in trying circumstances My wife has been receiving treatments in Durham since February and we have stayed at this Holiday Inn Express location since March. My wife is confined to a wheel chair and unable to walk. We were located on the third floor preparing to leave for our doctor appointment but the elevator was out of service. The manager who was in her fourth day at this location understood our problem. After attempts to get the rescue squad failed she got three male employees to physically carry my wife in the wheel chair down three flights of stairs. Although the ordeal was very stressful for my wife and myself, we are grateful for the attention and assistance we received. September 22, 2013

Our room t.v. was not working, so he changed our room quickly in order for us to watch the NFL pre-season game with the Redskins! Staff member, Aaron, was also a great help in this matter. The elevator was broken so carrying bags up three floors in the heat was not terribly pleasant. The elevator was still broken the next morning when I checked out. July 28, 2013

We always feel as though we are at home because of the comfort level we have always found. I do recommend, however, that if you are sensitive to pillows beside your own, bring your own. I was Greeted by Tony with a friendly personality. He helped my family move in for a week. Taking time to help us every way he could. He is a dedicated worker pulling a double shift. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Needs Work The pull out couch was horrible. There were no sheets had to call office to get provided. The blind was not able to be closed. The TV operated off the same two remotes. When we would watch something it would change the channel on the other TV where our daughter was watching tv. Other than that room was clean. June 29, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not Business Friendly and grumpy front desk attendant at night The lobby is too small and the breakfast room to noisy for business discussions. As part of the the non-business friendliness of the place, I offer an example of a grumpy front desk attendant at check in who would not explain the rate structure clearly and what was required to qualify for the significantly lower rates other people had on that same set of nights. He acted as if I were trying to cheat rather than simply be informed of the rate criteria. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. Fruit offerings at breakfast were not as diverse as other nearby HIEs. June 4, 2013

You should consider extending breakfast hours on Sunday until 10:00 am or 10:30 am so your guests can sleep a little longer. May 3, 2013
