Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Issues with the Room Temperature I stayed in this hotel for three nights. I had some issues that I believe could be improved. The heating in my room was not working properly and when I turned it on, it was really loud. So, I asked on the front desk for an extra blanket and they said they would take it to my room but they never did. So, I went down the front desk and got it myself. The other day, when they came to clean the room, they took the extra blanket away. So I had to go once again to the front desk and get it myself. Also, the blanket was kind of dirty. We also didn't get replacements of all the things we used in our room. We didn't get new cups or tissues and once again we had to do downstairs and get it ourselves. I liked the breakfast and the breakfast area. They kept it really clean. November 21, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good basic hotel in Charleston Stayed in this hotel for a weekend to discover Charleston. It's a decent Holiday Inn Express, The staff were super helpful and friendly. 5 stars for their service. The room I had was quite outdated. Furniture and bed were old. The hotel is located next to the hospital and medical campus of the university. Approximately 1 mile from King street and the Downtown historical area. November 19, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by value priced but not perfect The hotel staff were very professional, friendly and helpful but the guest room was lacking. Overall the room was clean enough, but there was a strange odor that I couldn't quite put a finger on. Kind of like something that had been used to clean the carpet maybe was still lingering. The pillows were all too soft, despite some of them being labeled "firm" on the pillow case. The front desk staff was very helpful however in finding me a pillow that was more firm and made my last 2 nights more comfortable. The maid forgot to replace my bath mat one day. The room was quite small. Location is okay. Not really within walking distance to attractions, but for the money, it was fine. November 19, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best experience We often stay at Holiday Inns both for business and pleasure, and I am sorry to report this was not a pleasant experience. The staff at the front desk were far from warm and welcoming. The room was not completely cleaned upon arrival. The coffee was not replenished in the room. The toilet did not work and even after reporting it to the front desk it continued to overflow and make a mess. November 18, 2014

Chris and Zach at the front desk and Alfonso in maintenance made our 2 day stay easy and comfortable. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Visit To Charleston My wife in I stayed at this hotel in November. The location provided us great access to MUSC and to the historic district. We were greeted very professionally as we registered by the staff. The room was large and clean. We really enjoyed having the availability of a balcony to view our surroundings. The breakfast area was very nice and kept very clean despite the high number of guests in the hotel during our stay. We highly recommend this hotel for those visiting MUSC or the historic district.
