Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient downtown location Hotel and room was clean and well laid out. Soundproofing for halls and room to room was not as extensive as it could be, but not obnoxiously loud even with a group a cheerleaders having rooms on the same floor. Breakfast buffet was fairly typical, but certainly nothing special. Staff was friendly, but I had to wait on them to appear for both check-in and check-out. One of service staff had to find someone for me to checkout. Parking is free and location is close to Civic Center and other downtown venues. No indoor pool if that is important. Would have been a plus since we met up with our son and grandchildren. February 27, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quick in and out, everything you need I stay here regularly when in Charleston. I often arrive late after a long drive and this hotel is very fast from highway to parked to in my room. Just the basics but that is all I ask. This is not a destination hotel for me, just a functional and effective place to overnight on business trips. Wifi is free and generally quick. This is an older property but management seems to always be upgrading and maintaining. This is a busy place, seems to be fully utilized much of the time so they are doing something right. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff and facilites We had to book this hotel last minute due to weather. So I was glad we had a room. We were coming down for a conference and came a day early. There was a disaster in the area, so we were fortunate to have a room. We have been to the hotel before and enjoyed our stay each time. I was grateful that they were accommendating to the people affected by this disaster. First issue was no heat. This was not the staff's fault. The weather caused an outside spigat to freeze and bust. Flooding the two rooms beside ours. The breaker for the two rooms that they turned off was connected to our heat as well. Problem solved. No ill effects. The other issue was the other guests. Which also is something of no fault of the hotel. There was noise in the hall until 2:30 am. February 23, 2015
