Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff, but there are opportunities for improvement! I arrived to the hotel planning on spending five nights. Upon entering my room, I found that it smelled of cigarette smoke. I returned to the front desk and the staff was sympathetic and arranged to give me another room. While the air quality in the subsequent room was better, the upkeep was lacking. In my personal opinion, the room felt "grimy" and unsanitized. You can sense there was no pride in the work being done to clean the room. I checked out of the hotel after two nights as I could not deal with being there anymore. Sorry for being so blunt. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay! Made the short drive to Chatham for a concert at the Capitol theatre. The stay was perfect, from Check in all the way to check out the next morning. Free and ample parking on a saturday night. Everything was clean from the parking lot right up to the room. The beds were amazing. We had a king size bed and it was an amazing night sleep. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. As I said before, the stay was perfect and would definitely stay here again. Thank you Holiday Inn Express! Once again, you've exceeded my expectations. Better planning on Hotel's part in making sure that when children's sports teams book rooms that they don't book a room to someone not within the group.. We were not the only team that book at this hotel (there were several teams from the same tournament there) and there was one room booked to someone that complained about the noise. When you have 16 kids on a team coming and going at the same time, using the elevator, there is bound to be noise. February 3, 2016
