The stay was enhanced by the people who work at this hotel, I had a positive experience with everyone I met. Special shout out to Jamal (sp?) at the front desk who went out of his way to offer assistance with all of my requests. The room was nice, but the exceptional service made it so much better.

We enjoyed a pleasant evening in the downtown Chattanooga area. Upon returning to the hotel we were greeted by a young man sitting in the lobby with a lady friend, no one at the front desk? The room key would not function, so I returned to the lobby, to find another guest looking for the front desk staff. We both waited several minutes, and were both informed that "he said he would be right back". I went back to the hallway to tell my wife we should wait downstairs. The front desk clerk was back. Whereupon he re-programmed our key and informed us that he took someone else to our room, entered our room and then he realized this person was not me. "Don't worry we did not touch anything" was the response. No mention of checking an ID of whoever thiserson was.
I reported the incident through IHG. Also the next morning explained to the front desk staff. The Hotel manager was good enough to call my home and inform that the points will be refunded, for our inconvenience, but still waiting to see the credit.
We will travel to Chattanooga again in February, but unsure if I will give this property a second chance, if the evening staff is that unreliable.
