It seemed adequate from the outside. But the housekeeping staff had sticky fingers. Management sided with housekeeping, told me my wedding rings must have fell down the drain. Rather odd considering my rings were on the opposite wall, they must have grown legs and walked across the room and jumped down the sink.
Had to fill a police report was a major bummer to the whole vacation. As for the hotel remodel it was only partial; new bath vanity but old stained tile and tub; fresh paint sagging old beds. recommend staying somewhere else

daughter has decided to attend Covenant college .. will probably be in Chattanooga often like this hotel's location
Sorry to complain, but though manager should know
Staff was very responsive and courteous
Fixed each issue as they were alerted to it
Guest should not have to alert management to issues

We decided to head back from Florida a day early since the weather was bad, so we made the reservations at 1:00 in the afternoon on our way back to Indiana. The person who took our reservation said that it was the last room and by the looks of the parking lot when we arrived at 9:30 p.m., he was right. The hotel was undergoing some mild renovations...no noise or mess though. The hotel overall was quite, beds were comfy and rooms were clean. We were able to get a good night sleep to continue our trip in the morning. The breakfast was good...eggs, sausage gravy and biscuts. And those cinnamon rolls...I could live off those things!
Here's my only compaint...I'm the type that likes the constant hummm of hotel room AC units. Usually puts me right to sleep. This one had an annoying rattle to it. Not much of a complaint, and the cinnamon rolls more than made up for it.
Oh yeah...did I mention the cinnamon rolls.

They were undergoing some major renovations when I visited in February 2013. We were moved to a suite b/c the original room we booked was not up to par due to constuction issues. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly & bent over backwards to accomodate us for any inconveniences. If I ever find myself in Chattanooga, I'd definitely come back. DELICIOUS COOKIES @ 3:00pm!!! Great location for travelers coming to Chattanooga from more western cities (like Birmingham, AL or Nashville, TN). The hotel is about 10 minutes from the I-59/I-24 interchange, 15 minutes from Hamilton Place & 10 minutes from downtown Chattanooga.

After over 14 hours on the road, was thrilled to finally arrive to my hotel. Folks here are wonderful, typical of the southern hospitality we hear off. Location is somewhat secluded which is what I like to avoid road noise from highways. It was very cold yet, the facility was comfortable in the lobby as well as my room. There are a few places to eat close by both for dinner and breakfast so you do not have to wander about to find food. Wifi is outstanding. We left at 0300 hours and much to my delight, the staff had fresh coffee, it seems waiting for me. I was most grateful as I need that extra kick that early in the morning. I plan to return here in the summer as I travel from the North East to Texas a couple times a year. Good value, good folks good choice for a hotel.

As a platinum member I definitely felt That this Holiday Inn was well below the standard of most. I felt more like I was at a cheaper hotel, one that " Leaves the light on for you." Furniture was scarred and old. There was a plastic cover on the mattress like put on beds in healthcare facilities.

I actually had a problem with my room but they took care of the problem immediately! I had not even given them my name or room number but he remembered me from check in and called my room! If you are planning a visit to Rock City, Ruby Falls, or Incline Railway..this hotel is very close to all of these attractions. There is a Cracker Barrel within walking distance of the hotel.

Our son and his family live in Chattanooga in the vacinity of this hotel. My husband and I spent a Friday and Saturday night here and found it accommodating. We have stayed in Chattanooga many times and at many different hotels in the downtown area over the years and found this one to be comfortable with a reasonable price although not in the center city. The breakfast was better than most hotels in this price range. Coffee was exceptionally good. Staff was extremely friendly; even the construction workers we ran into were cordial which leads to my only complaint. Several of the floors were being renovated and, apparently the floor above us was one of these since we were awakened at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday morning thinking a herd of children were running back and forth and bouncing balls above us Must have been laying carpet? Beds and pillows were comfortable; water pressure was great; an overall nice stay. I would recommend staying here when renovations are complete.

Stayed one night passing through to Pigeon Forge. Accomodations were okay. The bathroom door did not close properly and could not lock. The TV screen would black out whenever someone would walk in front. I was able to tighten the cable line to the TV box to stop that problem. Staff was nice, but not overly inviting. Breakfast is basic as every Holiday Inn.

Enjoyed a friendly, efficient check-in and was able to quickly get to my room to unwind after a long drive.
Accommodations were very good, clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was also very good. Nice selection, buffet was well maintained. Hot food was hot, and cold food was cold.

Your customer service rep, Maggie is awesome. This young lady was very knowledgeable, accommodating and super friendly. We stayed because of a truck breakdown, very stressful,,this young ladie's friendly attitude and smile just said "Welcome". Relieved all the stress from this breakdown and had a very relaxing evening.

The friendly staff have been a pleasure to work with on multiple visits. Clean and tidy, nice to know we don't have to hunt down basic needs and coffee/hot tea always available.
Beds softer than we prefer.

When we travel we try to use Holiday Inn hotels whenever we can and have become very comfortable using the Holiday Inn express & suite hotels in other cities. Unfortunately we can't say that our stay in Chattanooga was what we expected. Staff was kind and managed to get us checked in very quickly and politely, while dealing with other customer issues. The room was clean, however the beds were smaller than expected and the matresses were very flimsy, not good for those who struggle with back problems. Costs were considerably more than we typically pay at a Holiday Inn express that has an updated decor and 2 queen beds. Our original plans were to stay at the Chattanooga hotel on our way back home, instead we chose to drive an additional 4.5 hours to stay at a Holiday Inn Express that we are familiar with and enjoy being at.

We purposely chose a room with a king bed even though we would have preferred 2 doubles/queens so that we could have a comfortable chair in the room. Even though we had a very large corner room, the only chair in the room was a desk chair that was not very comfortable for relaxing and reading.
Breakfast was very good. There were many choices.

Desk clerk was very helpful even recommending different restaurants around the area. Rooms were clean and they had good breakfast buffet. This was the third time in the last two years that we have stayed at this location and have always been well pleased.

The staff were very friendly, accommodating, and professional. The property, however, was not pleasant. I can smell cigarette smoke as soon as the elevator opened on the 2nd floor. I found dead bugs inside my room on the window sill. The room was musty and furniture outdated.

Everything about our stay was fine except that we asked for a wake-up call and we didn't get it. In addition, the pancake machine didn't
work properly and although we did get pancakes they did not taste good. In addition, the hand held shower head did not work properly since I was unable to secure it in the clip and as a result it kept falling down and was thus unusable.

I always stay at Holiday Inns, but this was not a typical experience. The hotel seemed dirty! The elevetor floor was sticky for the 2 nights we stayed there, even after brining it to the attention of the service desk. TV was really old and did not work well. The hotel did not seem very well maintained. Wallpaper pealing, grime on the ceiling, no shower curtain, stains on the carpet. really made you feel uncomfortable sleeping there.

During our stay a baseball team from Nashville was staying at the
Hotel and on our floor.They were up all night partying and running up and down the hall making a nuisance of themselves.Calls to the front desk did no good .They were told to be quiet and five minutes later were back at it. We stay at Holiday Inn because of restful experience it provides.When you wake up more exhausted than when you went to bed it's time to find a new hotel.
All the amenities mean nothing if you can't sleep.

The property is in real need of a total makeover. Carpet, beds, other furniture old, very old TV, very cheap clock radio, bath amenities, paper products, Windows are in very bad need of cleaning, air condition makes lots of noise and last, the outside is most important when one drives in. The lobby looks great but when you get away from that area you will see a change. This property has the look of someone that doesn't want to spend money as long as the rooms are full. Being in business I know you can wait too long and then its too late to make that improvement. The location is great and this is a property that will be full for many years if the improvements are made. These improvements are need for the Holiday Inn logo and are need quick.
