Prepare to hear EVERYTHING your neighbors next to you and above you say and do. For my wife, it was a bit more unsettling because she is a light sleeper and likes to sleep in a bit on the weekends.
The room was reasonably clean. It's price and convenience to the casino across the street make it hard to beat. Just remember that not only can you hear your neighbors, they can hear you too.

Everything was good except wireless internet connection. It was very slow and continually had to be reconnected.

Second time to stay at this hotel..As Platnium Members we received recognition as such..also chilled bottled water and snack pack..breakfast was nice..room comfortable..definitely will return..

Great location across the street from Harrah's Cherokee Casino. Real friendly staff and good rates if you plan in advance. All four of us won money that night as well.

Walls are paper thin. I could hear everything going on in the rooms on both sides. Front desk was nice enough to move me to another floor only to be awaken by the next room's TV. Will never stay here again. Demolish that hotel and start over.

I was not recognized at a platinum member. I asked for an upgrade as I am accustomed to and was told none was available. My profile and request showed I ordered a "non-smoking" room. I was put in a "smoking" room. When I complained suddenly they found an upgraded "no smoking" room for me. No welcome package or bottled water was provided. When I asked, I was told there was none at the hotel. The noise of people coming and going disturbed my sleep. Also the staff didn't seem very professional or well trained.

I was expecting nothing, but ended up very pleased with my stay. The guy at the front desk was kind and funny. I will definitely be staying here again if I am back out this way. JG

We chose this hotel for the location to the casino and have had good past experiences with Holiday Inn Express. My disappointment started immediately when opening the door to the room. It was 31 degrees outside and they had NO heat on in the room and the window had been left open, it took quite awhile to warm up! Then after traveling for 3+ hours I had to use the bathroom when I was about to sit on what I had hoped to be a sanitized toilet I noticed what appeared to be a red/brown stain on the seat! Fortunately I carried disinfecting wipes with me and found it wiped right off!!! Then the next morning upon entering the shower and closing the shower curtain I noticed there were used dirty towels and rags hanging over the shower rod. Fearful to complain during our stay I waited until check out to mention these things, it just so happen the Executive of Housekeeping was standing at the desk and I explained everything. I was very disappointed in the lack of response I received from all parties informed. I was not looking for concessions of any kind but it certainly would have been nice if I received something more than " I will make note of it"

Overall hotel staff could step up their game. Many workers seemed downtrodden and unmotivated--not a happy place. Ground floor room was nice and convenient (no need for elevator), and basically quiet. Areas of concern....1) Coffee pot needed cleaning--water reservoir had yuck and hairs-WAY gross! 2)Window was not locked, ashes on sill--was a nonsmoking and ground floor room. 3) Sink did not drain and had flecks of green and black sediment. 4) Desk-clerk checking in very responsive and helpful, but morning lady rude and bothered. 5) Breakfast bar adequate but tables were not kept cleaned as guest left.

WE ALWAYS ENJOY STAYING AT HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS IN CHEROKEE. IT IS VERY CLEAN, QUIET, COMFORTABLE AND FRIENDLY. EVEN THE WORKERS SEEM HAPPY. IT IS A VERY SHORT AND PRETTY WALK TO THE CASINO SO IT IS A WIN ~ WIN SITUATION FOR STAYING THERE.

The overall stay was ok. Very conveient to the casino. We were able to walk across the street to get to the casino venue. The motel seemed older and quite bare boned. No frig/microwave and old furniture. Our biggest beef was it was so noisy. Water running upstairs, toilet flushing, people in the halls seemed like they were in the room with us. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was ok, nothing great.

Arrived early, hoping to change our accommodations from queen beds and smoking (only choice at booking) to a king, nonsmoking. Staff person, continuing her paperwork and with no greeting, offhandedly said check in is at 3. When pressed, she reluctantly looked up our reservation and said no changes available. There was no hello and welcome, let alone mention of IHG Platinum Elite status. This staff member was clearly miserable and bothered by our arrival.
When we returned to check in, there was a different person, who, as per our request, did find us a king (smoking still). He did not mention IHG status either, but he did make an effort and we appreciated that.
The room itself was clean and there was just a faint scent of prior smoking. It was basically fine.
Breakfast was a poor. It was very busy, tables and chairs wobbly and old, food trays empty, and guests requests met with apathy and indifference.
We checked out and cancelled our second night's stay.

Was told I was getting a non smoking and only had smoking available when I arrived. Got a rash from the bed. Shower did not drain. Only positive was it is close to the casino. I would not stay there again.

Room was not clean (floor not vacuumed, toilet not cleaned, and trash cans dirty). No Toilet paper in room and when I called the front desk I was told to "come and get some". REALLY?

Shower curtain was mildewed, carpet was dirty with holes in it, toilet was not very clean... overall not a very clean environment for the large amount of money I had to spend to stay there for the weekend...

Loved the choice of pillows. The check-in person was very accommodating and offered immediate upgrade to a suite. All his recommendations were great. Breakfast was well stocked and they served hot food. Will stay here again!

Hotel needs major face lifts and cleaning.
There was a long black hair in the bath tub.
Shower rod hanging off wall.
Old and smelly sheets along with the bedspread.
Large stains on furniture.
Would not recommend.......

This place has paper thin walls, so you had better bring some ear plugs.
It is more than a walk from the Casino if that is why you are visiting.
The hotel has an uncovered pool. This makes the pool un-usable for a good chunk of the year. The work out room is underwhelming.
I was upgraded to a "King Suite" Had a king bed, a sink and coffee maker that is outside the bathroom. The desk has the worst most uncomfortable chair I have ever sat in. Kind of underwhelming for a suite.
On a side note, There should be better standards in place for tattoos and piercings. Although the staff was dressed professionally, and I am sure they do their jobs well, these things do not inspire confidence.

My husband and I are non smokers but had to get a smoking room even though we booked over a month in advance. We woke with a horrible headache and our clothes smelling horrible. Other than that it was a GREAT location for the casino.
