Room was nice but had to wait to get into room aa batteries on door lock were to weak. Thankful was not late at night as was repaired right away.
Toilet would some times keep running after flush.
Sink stopper wouldn't stop water from draining out while trying to use.
Was hardly recognized as a priority member.
Great breakfast and attendant. kept items filled and good coffee.
Over all a good place to stay and would definitely stay again

front desk staffs are not friendly. check in person did not greet us, like we interrupted whenever he was doing head down. When ask about direction to the smoky national park, they just said we are from here and do not go to the park. Think we can get better direction from anyone on the street. Room furnishings are dated. Walls are thin, can hear people talked in hallway and baby crying next room. Person worked in breakfast is slow and ate breakfast and watched TV while there were guests around. We need to tell the person what items ran out ( like hot water/fruits). When there is no water in the cooler inside the gym, we told the front staff. He just said I do not know where are the water bottle kept, just drink water from the fountain. Guess he just lazy to bother to change water.

The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom lighting was also quite good. The pillows were lumpy, but we've come to expect that. The staff were quite friendly and facilitated both check-in and check-out efficiently. We were pleased with our choice of hotel in Cherokee.

Stay here if you like hallway noise from folks returning from the casino all night long. After a long, restless night, I had to endure a cold shower in the morning. No hot water in that shower.
This priority club member was not recognized at check-in or any other time of the stay, even though I reserved my room online as a priority club member.

This hotel is a nice place to stay and quiet rooms. Only negative we have to say is this is the only Holiday Inn Express we have ever stayed in that did not offer flavored coffee creamer. It was a surprise they did not have it and a disappointment to go without coffee.

Unless you are going to the casino or enjoy sleepless nights do NOT stay here. The walls are thin and you can clearly here TV and conversations through the walls.
The casino is the main attraction in Cherokee guests come and go at all hours and are very noisy.
Reception was poor when we arrived but dealt quickly in the morning to cancel the booking made for the second night.

Sorry, but we were very disappointed this stay.
First, we were not greeted as Priority Club Members AND staff wasn't as friendly as other Holiday Inn's that we have stayed at.
Second, the beds were a bit old.
Third the breakfast area was awfully crowded and a mess, but then the staff couldn't possibly keep up will all of us.

We have stayed here before, good location and friendly and helpful staff. Our room was clean and quiet, the bed was good better than many places. Breakfast was good, but room is way to small when hotel is full. Bathroom floor was dirty, but everything else way clean.

Having stayed at the Holiday Inn in Blowing Rock with my two grandsons twice in the past two years,we were very impressed. I chose the Cherokee Holiday Inn expecting the same kind of service.My son in law and I were looking forward to a great couple of days, instead our stay was the worse experience I have ever expected.Having suffered a heart attack and open heart surgery I was looking forward to a couple of days of rest and relaxlation. The people in the room next to us were up all night blasting the television and yelling and partying.We were unable to sleep our entire stay. Our room had only two towels to shower with,upon requesting more towels we were given one. The side of the mattress was stained with something we had know idea what it was, we will never stay at your Hotel ever again and we will recommend to our family and friends to never stay there either.A very disgruntled and disappointed customer.

Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable, We chose this hotel because it was convenient to Harrah's, directly across the street.. When we tried to go to sleep at night, we could hear the TV in the room next to us, doors slamming up and down the hallway,people stomping across the floor in the room above us. If you are wanting to get a decent nights sleep, you need to stay elsewhere.

I am a Priority Club member and so stayed at this Holiday Inn Express for 3 days. I spent most of my time at the Harrah's Cherokee Casino and so can only comment on one thing. On the day when I was supposed to check out I requested a wake up call and though the front desk personnel told me it was all set, I never got a call. This made me miss my work and my heart medicine.
When I mentioned this to the front desk while checking out later at 1100 hrs, they just said it was too bad. This is inexcusable.

Bed was comfortable and room was nice. The first morning after our first night stay we notice ants crawling on the sink in the bathroom. When we reported it we were told that had been a problem in the past and it was thought to be taken care of. Evidently not! They did not have another handicap room to move us to we went ahead a stayed the second night since the room wasn't overrun with ants and other hotels we full. We were given a $20.00 discount for one of the nights. I hope they took care of their ant problem before the next guests came in. Also the room had no mini-fridge or microwave. The is the first place in a long time we haven't had the amenities.
I would recommend this hotel except for the ants.

No acknowlegdement of Priority Club memebers! The rooms have no refridgerators or microwaves, no cookies or fruit in the lobby! The first morning, bacon was added to the breakfast bar, right before the end of the service. The second morning, again we smelled the bacon, but it was NEVER served to the paying customers, instead, when we walked by one of the offices, ten to fifteen employees were enjoying breakfast with the bacon that smelled up the front lobby. We did not notify local management, because we assumed they were part of the "bacon eaters." The third morning, it was at TOTAL disaster. Most everything had run out! The employee, in charge of breakfast, was pretty rude when I asked for certain items to be refilled! The lowest service Holiday Inn Express we have ever stayed at!

We enjoyed our stay. Spent three nights and two days at the hotel. Breakfast was good and hot with a good selection. Desk service was excellent. The exercise room is a little sparse with two treadmills and one recumbent bike. My one negative comment surrounds housekeeping service. We were out of our room between 9 am and 4 pm each day. During this period, no one from housekeeping attended to our room. It wasn't until about 4:30 pm each day that housekeeping knocked on our door and asked if we needed anything. This could have and in my opinion should have been done earlier in the day. I saw several housekeeping personnel in hallways in the morning prior to leaving each day.

We have visited Cherokee before and when possible stay at Holiday Inn Express. Staff friendly, know the region and the facilty is located for exploration of WNC. No brainer.
