Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Hotels need to manage curfew better. I've stayed at a few different HI-Express. This one was far from good compare to the others. I can respect families excitement when getting together for events. But there comes a time at night when you need to settle down and respect others besides your own group. Continuing to make a lot of noise well after midnight in the public area is very rude and inconsiderate. The public areas should have a curfew time where all guests need to proceed to their rooms so as to not disturb others in the hotel. Clearly, HI-Express either does not have one or the staff at Chester are ignorant of enforcing such a rule. It's a shame that one bad incident can ruin a relatively decent stay. But this is a first for me to have such a boisterous group after hours. My preference is not to come back when in the Chester area. We shall see. May 20, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bathroom walls and ceiling had mold We booked the hotel with a group but we were not put together even though we needed you say the team name to book. The desk staff was very rude when I asked them why our group was not placed together. The toilet in my room clogged and again the desk staff was frustrated that they had to find a plunger and then left it outside my room for me to use. The bathroom had no ventilation so there was mold on the walls and ceilings. May 19, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Well Worn I found this HIE to be showing the wear of heavy usage - it's a good thing that it gets a lot of business but it doesn't seem the owners have reinvested to maintain the hotel. The staff was friendly enough but I did not feel they were always completely forthcoming regarding questions/issues raised. When checking in I was informed that all king bed rooms faced the expressway and was offered a different room which I turned down as the king bed was more important to me - it would have been nice to know of the noise issue prior to making a reservation as the hotel is very near the expressway. While I might consider giving this facility another chance if I hear it has been upgraded, I wouldn't recommend it to others until I experienced improvements myself. April 21, 2015
