Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Prodigyzer0 A decent place to stay the night.
Traveling for work up to 60 nights per year I try and chose my Holiday Inns with care. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose, other times I break "even". This time I broke even. I have no complaints; the room was clean and the staff was great and helpful. Two things that could use some attention include the terrible breakfast and the old worn out fitness center equipment. The breads were pushing shelf life, the bacon was dry and the "eggs" were nearly inedible. The pancake machine ( a personal favorite at HIE) was out of order. The hotel is located right off of the highway and was quiet for being so close to a major route.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by LSco We had a good time!
The front desk staff was excellent, very helpful and polite. Our first room had a problem with the bathroom door not closing, so we were given a second room which was fine. The boys had a great time at the indoor pool, they had it all to themselves and that alone was worth the trip. Breakfast the next day was great - so many delicious choices. Overall, we had a good experience and will visit again.

The Hoiiday Inn Express in Chester is the best I have stayed in a long time. I book rooms for my friends every year and this will be where I book from now on!

Everything was perfect. The staff were courteous, very prompt to respond and very helpful. Could not have been a better experience. Doubt I would stay anywhere else when traveling.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MikeNJ A Great Value!...and bacon!
I have stayed three times in the last 6 months. Rooms are spacous and clean. Beds are new and comfortable. The TV is decent. The comlimentary breakfast has eggs and sausage or bacon!...toaster is painfully slow as with every hotel.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GCNY Just the Place !
We needed a place for 4 nights near Monroe, NY. This hotel was 15 minutes from our work location. Our room was excellent. We had a king, with a sofa, refrigerator, free internet, and microwave. We appreciate the clean room; free from fragrances and perfumes that try to "cover up". Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable, reasonable in cost, clean, and quiet. We did not try the pool and we had to be working most mornings before breakfast was served, so we only had one breakfast which was good for a free breakfast.. They have a great "pancake" machine, which had tasty pancakes! We felt safe and secure in this location, no noisy neighbors or workers. This hotel is worth the extra minutes drive from the "large factory mall".

We use the hotel every time the power goes out in Blooming Grove.
The rooms are above average in size, clean with nice beds. Internet service is great - fast and easy to sign in. TV has no CNBC nor MSNBC which is disappointing. There is a fitness center and pool, both are adequate but basic. Great breakfast!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Giggles57 Too Much Noise from the Highway...Beds Very Uncomfortable.
How often do you shampoo the carpets? The bed was too hard...think about replacing them with pillow-top beds? The pillow were awful...no support at all. The powdered eggs are awful!! The noise from the highway kept me up all night.
Sorry, can't do that again...it's too expensive for cheap arrangements.

The hotel was fine. A bit of highway noise if you have a room in the back.
Our car battery died as we pulled up, and it was late on the Sunday evening of a holiday weekend. Julie at the desk was very helpful with that and with printing directions to restaurants and the local drive-in.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by LoriD Great Staff/ Poor Pool care
My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Chester-Goshen during the Columbus Day Weekend. Gina and the staff were great. Gina is friendly, helpful and directed us to Sugar Loaf for a Fall Fair and we had a great time. Rooms very comfortable, except that we had to ask for new towels as the towels in our room when we checked in were humid and wrinkle and we could not understand why? Good parking, restaurants within walking distance, near the highway and felt very safe. Near the Woodbury Commons and Brotherhood Winery.
The pool area was clean, but the pool itself seemed to have a lot of chlorine, but the other chemicals did not seem to be balanced so the pool water looked greenish yet the chlorine burned your eyes.
I would return to this hotel it was a good value, but I hope they clear up the pool situation.
