Driving to New England from Florida. Very easy on and off Route 95. Food was quick and good. Room was clean. TV had the games I wanted. Easy to leave in the morning.

My stay was fine it was for 1 night. The customer service I received from your Guest Relations was totally unacceptable. We were there for a funeral. There was a mix up of where we were between Petersburg and Richmond. We were on the road and within an hour of arrival, when we discovered the error and we call Customer Care immediately. The person I spoke with was great in changing the hotels and said we had to speak with Guest Relations to have the cancellation fee waived. I was transferred, explained we were going to a funeral, things got confusing and as a courtesy due to the circumstances, could we have the cancellation fee waive. The rep didn't have an ounce of empathy. Didn't sound concern - just stated no and you will be charged for the Petersburg room because it is after 6pm. I am in management for customer service and if one of my reps acted the way this person did, they would no longer work for the company. Because of this rep in Guest Relations, IHG will not receive business from me nor the company.

My stay at the hotel was okay. The service I received from the Guest Relations Dept was a different story. We were there for a funeral and the information for which hotel was confusing due to the nature of the trip. We were coming from out of town and while we were on the road, I realized that we were going to the wrong hotel, I called. I explained the problem and reservation said they could cancel the hotel and book at the other but in order for us to avoid a cancellation fee we must speak with Guest Relations. The person I spoke with wasn't sympathy of our situation, showed no empathy and refuse to waive the cancellation fee.
I understand there are polices. I am in customer service management. The service I received from this rep was horrible and just added to our stress. I had to pay for the room that was cancelled

Room was extremely poor Quality compared to all rooms I ever stayed at before for business travel.Hpotel staff was not concerned about our stay.We had 3 other rooms with relative while on vacation.I would not recommended this hotel for anyone to stay at.The quality of this hotel is very substandard.

There was a gentleman who was extremely helpful at the front desk. Provided information about the surrounding, areas where to eat, etc. He also provided maps. You have a real team player with him. You should do something nice for him as he goes above his position to help the guest.

Went for brief stay for a concert in the area. It was a quick 8 minute drive from The National.The room was very clean. The surroundings were very pleasant. The staff was very nice and helpful. My child left a personal item in the room. Although it took several phone calls the staff said they found it and would mail it back. Hope so!!

OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS FANTASTIC. THE MAN THAT WORKED THE FRONT DESK WAS VERY FRIENDLY. HE PROVIDED ME WITH SHOPPING MALL INFO AND DIRECTIONS. HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE WAS WONDERFUL. ROOM NICE AND CLEAN AND THE HOTEL WAS VERY PEACEFUL.

The room and amenities at this property are absolutely fine. The 'Sporting News' restaurant next door was a nightmare. First the waitress charged me $12 for an English muffin breakfast sandwich and a coffee. After she told me it was resolved I found she had charged me 3 different times. Still trying to get my money back...

As a frequent guest for a number of years, after work or after a long drive, when Franchesca is tending bar I am always certain to have pleasant experience. Franchesca serves her patrons meals from the menu as well as any waitress while also tending bar. What sets her service apart from the norm is her caring personality and attention to detail. I had to make a quick business trip to Richmond, and my stay was actually quite pleasant. The only issue was that the bathroom was FREEZING for half of the trip, and we had to turn on the blow dryer for awhile to warm it up. Other than that, I had no issues.

The only issue I had encountered was one day of the three I was there , my room was not serviced at all.
The only food around is a Subway, Mcdonalds, & hotels restaurant. Hotels restaurant however had good menu choices and my meals were good, portions were plenty.

This hotel is just great. We stay there every time we travel to New Jersey, up and back. And every time we do this there is a problem at the restaurant. No chardonnay , other flavors but the one time the manager said I could bring my wine down. Always had a lager beer on tap not this time. My husband had to drink bottle beer and not a good selection.
That's the only game in town you would think they would be stocked a little better. They also charge top $ . We were in Georgia at a restaurant connected to the hotel and it was only $2.45 a glass of wine and $1.50 for draft beer. The sports bar !!!!! needs to get their act together.

The actual hotel staff (front desk) was very polite and responded to any issue very quickly. The location of the hotel was a bit out of the way and there is only a Subway restaurant close by for eating options. While the Sports Grill on site would have been a convenient and fun option for food, the service was slow and unmotivated. If the restaurant was better, the location of the hotel could have been compensated for.

The room was a typical design and clean, and everything in the room worked. But the hotel failed at the little things:
1 - Only one soap in the room, so you had to move it from shower to sink and back.
2 - TVs didn't work in the fitness center.
3 - I ordered room service breakfast (toast and fruit), and the toast came with no butter or jelly. Who eats dry toast?
4 - In the conference room for breakfast they put out yogurt but no spoons, and muffins but no napkins or plates. Had to find someone to ask for both.

We were in the area on business, so the location was good for us. The front desk staff was very helpful and polite. The room was comfortable and everything so clean, except the carpet! There was a big stain and several small ones. Overall this is a nice motel and with a good carpet cleaning it would rate excellent with me.

We were in Richmond to attend a party held at this hotel. We were assigned a room all the way on the other end of the hotel. It was a hike for me with bad knees, but since it was only 1 night, why bother asking for another room. The room was clean, nothing horrible. It was a little narrow. It was odd the faucets in the bathroom were mixed. The hot water was on the right side and the cold on the left. The rubber stopper was missing on the bathroom door, so it was noisy when you opened the door.
The food provided by the hotel at the party was disappointing. Fish and chicken were dry. The staff at the party were attentive and professional. For the moderate price charged, I would say it was an ok place to stay. I would not stay longer then one night though.

I stayed here during a 3 night visit that included running the Richmond Marathon. The bed was absolutely comfortable and what a weary runner was needing after that race. The bathroom has plenty of counter space and a large shower.
My sleep quality was marked average because I could hear every door slam late at night and early in the mornings. One night, a person knocked and knocked and knocked on a door down the hall and I could hear it. By the time I got to the guts to open my door and say something, it had stopped at least.
The location of this hotel was good. It was not in the heart of downtown but was generally 15 minutes from where we needed to be throughout my visit. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Richmond.

Overall, Holiday Inn was a good choice for our family to stay. However, as a platinum member I would recommend more flexibility with breakfast coupon/voucher options. Being able to only use the coupons for best for breakfast was a "sore thumb" for us because one of us didn't eat eggs and the other doesn't eat pork. Rather, we shifted towards spending almost $40 dollars for breakfast (partially due to my fiance being pregnant).

room was not good....bed comforter had a nice big burn hole, dead center. How the person making up the bed left it...beyond me.
Also all the furniture was stained, burnt, dinged -- gross. And the carpet ...disgusting.

dirty take=out cup in refrigerator
only one coffee cup in room.
Restaurant staff was excellent and the food was good and hot.

I paid a good rate and for a large group for a party we did not get a complimentary breakfast like I have received in other hotels. It was disappointing. Apart from that everything else was okay.

My room was outstanding. One female staff member made no mention of the fact that I am a rewards member. I could not encourage a visit to the restaurant; however, as I found it to be second rate, lacking in both quality and taste. The service was no better. It's a shame, too because of the convenients.

The room was clean and neat except the carpet. It "looked dirty" and had a lot of stains I paid for three rooms and the carpets were stained in all
The staff was great. Very polite and profesional.
Would never eat there again. I would recommend the motel, but not the resturant. The waiter was great.....the time to get a very easy breakfast was unsatisfactory and the hot cakes and oatmeal were COLD. We sent them back. The prices are really high just for the convenience of eating on site.
we did enjoy the stay, but you need to clean the carpets.
