Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant stay Staff were wonderful ... although a bit exasperated on Saturday evening. I had my grandsons come stay with my son and I for the night - - we asked for towels. After a bit of exasperated sighing, the desk person said they were going to the laundry to check. When I then made the mistake of asking about pool towels - she angrily stated she had put out at least 5 or 6 dozen towels already and didn't think there were any more towels but that she was headed to the laundry to check! I was properly chastised! The beds were comfortable ... the location handy ... the pool was enjoyable ... the breakfast good. No recognition for Platinum IHG member. Oh .. .the only negative was the bounce/jerk when the elevator engaged - - wasn't expecting it and lost my balance the first time! July 9, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not impressed The person at the front desk was not welcoming and didn't seem to want to be there. I asked if a handicap room was available .......without checking she responded there was none available.........there were very few cars in the parking lot. Then she asked what we wanted in such a room and we asked for grab rails in the shower and high toilet (I'm 80 years old but not handicapped). I thought the rate charged was high for the type of facility provided......not up to some competitors I have stayed at. Not impressed with Holiday Inn Express......and do not feel smarter for having stayed there. July 8, 2014

There was a problem with the online reservation, and the attendant took care of the issue within a few minutes. The room was lovely and comfortable. The hotel was clean, modern, and well cared for. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Usually excellent customer service...but this time, not so much. Staff shouldn't argue with the customer or blame other staff for their mistake... My husband and I have stayed at this hotel about one weekend a month for almost 2 years and it's always been a good experience. Even through the extensive remodel, we were always treated well, and the front desk staff was always friendly and all about taking care of the customer. Our recent trip at the end of June was different. When checking in we were told we were upgraded to a King room from a double...the problem was that I had not booked a double, but through my Gold Elite membership on ihg.com, had a confirmed reservation for a King room. We then go to our room and find it's a King room that's handicapped accessible...which we do not need. I call down to the desk to request a room change, and the lady ARGUED with me that their computer info said I made the reservation on Google, and they already upgraded us & nothing else was available. She continued to insist that I was wrong...until I went downstairs and showed her MY confirmation from their own ihg.com website. "All of a sudden" a King room was available for us. She then continued to blame another employee saying that she should have caught the mistake. While our room was switched, there was no need for her to continue to blame other employees and tell me (incorrectly) where I made my reservation. We will be returning to this hotel, but I will be letting the manager know that this employee was not providing the customer service that we've come to expect at this Holiday Inn Express.
