Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Service Poor During Cheyenne Frontier Days, I chose this based on previous reviews. However, the cost was more than I would have expected but over inflated prices can't be helped during this time. The poor service made the cost of the room even more painful. We arrived after traveling for 6 hours approximately 30 minutes before check-in time was scheduled. Sadly, they wouldn't allow us to check in early. Once 3 pm arrived, it took 20+ minutes to check-in despite the 4 employees behind the desk trying to run 2 check-in lines. The lobby showed a shuttle scheduled to leave at 3:30 and at 4 pm to Frontier Park for $5 per person each way. Since we would miss the 3:30 time due to slow/poor service, we opted for the 4 pm shuttle and arrived in the parking lot to find the van sitting there w/o a driver. As we waited for the driver, the minutes ticked by until it was 4:05 and still no driver. I went in to inquire of the driver only to be told he hadn't shown today. When asked about the advertisement in the lobby, I was told these would be removed if he didn't show the following day --- this I pointed out would do no good for the half-dozen of us waiting today for a driver who would never show. Next year for CFD, I will be choosing a different hotel -- hopefully, one that at least provides good customer service for the over-priced room. July 22, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice hotel and facilities, breakfast needs improvement Recently stayed at this hotel while on family vacation. The staff could have been more friendly but once I was in my room I quickly forgot about that. The rooms are nice and beds were comfortable. We did however have an issue with the cleaning crew not attending to our room and it's not because we left the sign on the door saying we were sleeping in. They some how missed our room and we had trash over flowing in waste can. The breakfast area is nice and spacious but someone needs to be more attentive when items are running low, ie., bananas, tea bags and walnuts for oatmeal. When bananas were brought out it was only a few at a time. The gym isn't large but meets Holiday Inn standards and I had no issues with the equipment. Overall nice hotel and probably would stay there again. Hopefully management will fine tune the lose ends. July 20, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Clean & Comfortable bed; Great Fitness Center This hotel in Cheyenne room had an extremely loud squeal when opening & closing the bathroom door in my room (# 307) which awoke me at 1:30 AM when my son used the bathroom, and I had a difficult time getting back to sleep due to loud noises outside the hotel (trucks or trains). Then my wife used the bathroom at 4:30 AM and the loud squeal when opening the bathroom door awoke me again for the rest of the night. Being awake, I went to breakfast early.... They ran out of Orange juice AND plates before I got to breakfast. They just said "sorry", no attempt to get more. Have you ever had pancakes from a cereal bowl? It is kinda like camping, if that is what you like. As we went to leave, I was pushing a full, heavy luggage cart, they had TWO large ladders erected in the lobby working on overhead lights that I nearly hit accidentally with the cart. Should have been guarded, or roped off with caution tape. We had a close call to an accident. The room was clean. The fitness center was great. The Staff was nice. But the hotel must fix the squeaky bathroom door in room 307, get some Orange Juice and paper plates for breakfast. July 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great updates to the hotel This is the second year in row we have stayed there during the Wyoming Golf Tournament. They have renovated the hotel in the last year and it looks really good. The rooms were updated and very comfortable, the staff was excellent, and the beds were very comfortable. Will definitely be staying there again next year. July 16, 2014
