Only reason it was memorable was because the room ended up being $15 more expensive than what my receipt quoted me. Not only a state tax but also a community tax?! RIDICULOUS also made it more frustrating to have to hear airplanes every 15 minutes. Don't really want to pay extra for that. Also the people in front of me in line were offered peanuts or doritoes but I was not. I'm usually very pleased with holiday inns, however I definitely wouldn't recommend this one. Cost way too much for what you get.

I understand the need to pay for parking if I was going to leave my vehicle for an extended period. But I was staying in the hotel for one night and leaving the next day. Parking should be free for each night that you are checked into the hotel.
When I spoke with the front desk about it, I received "We charge everybody for parking." I was not going to argue with them because this is obviously either a franchisee or corporate decision.

My fiancee and I stayed here for two nights while moving from Maryland to Washington. Right off the bat the staff was excellent and the room was great. The hotel is in a great spot with quick and easy access to the downtown area, not to mention plenty of places in the surrounding area to eat. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to stay close and comfortable to Chicago.

My plane was delayed several hours, so I made a phone reservation from a noisy airport in Arizona. The woman who made my reservation was most helpful despite the fact that I was having trouble hearing her because of background airport noise. She made the reservation and gave me the info so that I could be picked up at the airport when I landed about 12:30 AM. I spent a very restful night at the Holiday Inn Express, Chicago. Thank you very much for your assistance.

We arrived at check-in and realized that we had accidentally booked the wrong night. The staff behind the counter fixed the reservation with no-hassles. Not only that, but when I asked about parking since we would be flying out-of-town for a week, he re-booked out room again with a parking pass and a discounted room package. Above and beyond service and a comfortable room - what more could you ask for!

Everyone on your staff was helpful, personable, and went above and beyond to make me feel "at home"...this includes the front desk, those setting up breakfast, and the cleaning staff. I would highly recommend your hotel to all my friends.
