Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Room Troubles During the night the Toilet had over ran and flooded half the room. When I woke at 4:30am I was walking in puddles of water. Called down to the front desk and no other rooms were available, this is understandable for the rooms to be booked up in this area. However no effort was made to find another room at any other hotel or accommodation of any kind to help out. I was never offered any help to clean up the mess to the point were I could still get ready for the day, or anyone even checking on the issue with the room. I am a Platinum member and have never had a issue before that was not taken care of or an effort made in that direction. I also was never offered an refund for my troubles or any other incentive as such. Also the front desk informed me that the person below me had called before I did to let them know his ceiling was leaking. February 24, 2015

There was a little snafoo with our reservations at first, but it was handled promptly and they even upgraded us for our trouble as a courtesy. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was excellent, and the room was clean and comfortable! Thank you to all the staff for a very welcome and relaxing getaway. February 19, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor hoapitality Had problems with this hotel. Decides to book an extra night to give them another chance because the room was nice(suite upgrade). At 12:30PM we were told to move rooms, a little bizarre since when we made the rez there was plenty of rooms and room types. Later learned that they had a regular guest "that stays in that room". Informed the manager of such actions. She admitted that they dropped the ball. She offered, written on a business card, " free room upon renovations"... Renovations will not be completed until sometime next year. 2016. We felt it was unacceptable, to have to wait over a year, to try them again at their convenience. I don't understand why we, as a guest, should have to wait and see if they can get it right in a years time. We declined the offer and requested the points that we used to book refunded since essentially it is the same thing, and also cheaper for the hotel to do so. ( I know points cost the hotel a fraction of what they charge guests) She informed us she is not going to refund them and to get in touch with IHG. We have never dealt with such an unprofessional innkeeper. I travel for work and stay in hotels more than my home. Makes me think twice about booking an out of the way hotel. It's a shame. Gives HIE an bad name... February 13, 2015
