Our stay was great in large part due to the great employees at this site. Specifically, the woman at the front desk who helped us with our decision on where to stay, the woman who ran the breakfast service and her attentiveness, and the man who fixed the towel rack. They were all friendly, efficient, and represented the hotel well.

As I approached the hotel's main door I expected it to have automatic door openers, but it did not. It looked worn from use. The hotel was very busy, so I did not get to check in to my room at that time. I left and came back near 5 p.m. and the room was not ready yet. I waited an hour for entry to the room, but the staff offered me gift certificates to a nice restaurant in town. The room was nice and quiet and I enjoyed the sleep. My statement under the door reflexed a discount because of the inconvenient delay in getting the room ready on time. I felt appreciated as a customer. I would revisit the hotel again.
I understand the hotel is going to be remodeled soon. I look forward to the door being changed to automatic opener.

I usually have a very good experience at Holiday Inn Express. This one was below the norm. Lots of little things that add up. The TV channel guide was for analog cable but the channels were all digital. The door look wouldn't read the key card 90% of the time. Cracked floor tiles needed attention. And the price was higher than any other Express I've stayed in, including some metro areas.
