Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Always an excellent stay!!! I haven't stayed since last fall. I noticed the potted plants and flowers in the lobby and breakfast area. These along with the fireplace psychologically warms up these terrible never ending frigid weeks. Lori and Ronda were very helpful and efficient in checking me in using reward nights points. Ross County was under Level 2 snow emergency and Natelie extended my check out time to 2pm to allow me to stay until the roads were more clear. Elsa's breakfast service is always super efficient and bubbly at 6am and keeps the breakfast items fresh and well stocked even if you come at in at 9:55am. Jason was extremely thoughtful in cleaning off my car. I have trouble with balance and this was EXTREMELY HELPFUL!!!!! My work schedule is more of a 2nd shift one and the hotel is extremely quiet even being near the lobby. The housekeeping staff is very considerate for those who aren't on a 1st shift schedule. The beds and pillows and linens are extremely comfortable and it would be very easy to stay in bed and watch movies or read on these frigid days. I have stayed multiple days before; every room has a mircowave and mini fridge. I have brought in food and this is very convienent and saves on food expense. There is a very comfortable desk chair and work table with ample light. Each lamp has extra plug ins for the cell phones and electronics. Bathrooms are spotless and there are a good supply of spotless towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. I felt welcomed from the very first day I stayed. I leave relaxed and well rested. The owner, manager and all the staff take pride in making this a very comfortable, super clean hotel. February 15, 2014

My wife and I live in North Carolina and travel to Chillicothe, Ohio (our home city) several times each year to spend time with our sons and their families. During our recent trip to Ohio for the Christmas holiday, no rooms were available at our favorite B&B, so we decided to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Chillicothe for the first time. We were very pleasantly surprised regarding almost every aspect of our week-long stay. We were greeted by Natalie and other staff members in a friendly manner which made us feel welcomed right away. We were impressed by the fact that the building was updated and modern with all necessary amenities and was unusually clean. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable and the beds allowed for a good night's rest. The bathroom actually had a functioning exhaust fan (hard to find these days) and the room lamps included extra electrical outlets for the charging of cell phones, laptop computers, etc. Crystal, Viktoria and their supervisor were friendly and did an excellent job with their housekeeping duties. The breakfast bar was clean and well-maintained with a good assortment of meat, eggs, fruit, vegetables, cereals, etc., and the hostesses, Elsa and April, were very friendly and accommodating. Congratulations to the management of this facility for hiring such high-quality employees and for providing them with the proper training. It is obvious that everyone at the Holiday Inn Express in Chillicothe demonstrates pride in their work and realizes the importance of making the customer feel important and welcomed. As travelers seeking lodging, we believe that the most important qualities of a good hotel include FRIENDLINESS and CLEANLINESS! Kudos to the management and staff at this location for scoring high marks in BOTH categories! We actually left Chillicothe feeling like we had made a few new friends and look forward to seeing them again when we return to Ohio. Keep up the good work! January 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff and great room with only a small twist... The location is just right. Right off the highway. The facility is modern and clean. The place was clean and our room was wonderful. More importantly the bathroom was clean and new. The staff was great. The breakfast was good. The only problem was that our room smelled like smoke. Perhaps it wasn't used for a while. More importantly the mornings were wonderful because of Elsa. As a fellow Filipino it was nice to see another friendly place. She was so courteous and one of the most hard working ladies I have seen. I hope the management will bring her up the ranks because she is A PEOPLE PERSON! She needs to be the one greeting people. Very few people take pride in what they do and she is one of them. Thank you Elsa for making our stay awesome. The Filipino and German couple :) December 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It shows that the management takes pride in this hotel. We had read positive reviews on this hotel before booking, and we were also very pleased with our stay. The hotel is well decorated, very clean and I'm guessing has been recently remodeled. It does have a very nice breakfast included in the cost and the lady who manages it is very nice. Just my personal preference, I always like having the sink outside of the toilet/shower area, and this was not set up that way. However, we would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend. December 5, 2013

The room was clean and comfortable (though the acoustics are not great with hard tile next to the suite door); the breakfast was pretty good. What made the experience for us was Elsa - she checked us in when we arrived and then hosted breakfast. She clearly enjoys her job and takes pride in making guests feel welcome and at home. I think that kind of hospitality is rare and it makes a difference! November 30, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice stay overall The stay was nice and quiet however the hotel clerks at the front counter were not very friendly. They seemed to be in a rush (even though we were the only guests checking in) and were pretty rude. I had to even tell the lady to not throw my credit card at me and to place it in my hand since I was holding it out to receive it back from her. I also asked for 2 rooms beside each other and was promised this but they were not. (minor detail) I still had a good stay however. November 18, 2013
