Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by New HIE in Chowchilla I travel a lot for business in the Central Valley and always stay at HIE or Holiday Inn. Over the past 10 years, I have stayed from Bakersfield up through Stockton. However, a new HIE recently opened in Chowchilla. This new hotel has a very modern and open lobby and the first thing that stuck me was the professionally dressed staff all the way to the uniforms for the maids. This indicates to me that the owners have an interest in all employees. They all were extremely polite. The rooms are superior to most HIE. The hotel is right off of Highway 99 but for some reason the freeway noise is minimal. If you don’t want any noise don’t stay next to a freeway. Fast food within walking distance and restaurants are located just across the freeway. The breakfast server was very polite and ready to serve. Breakfast starts at 6:00am which is great to get back out on the road. The hotel was immaculate inside and out. For my next visit I will travel the extra hour north in order to say at this hotel. The owners of this hotel obviously have hospitality experience and know how to present an excellent product. November 18, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by better than expected The hotel was clean all around. The room was clean and ready for my arrival. the bathroom had all the amenities i needed for my stay. The breakfast was good. Only one downgrade was one of the front desk ladies didnt acknowledge my arrival and was too busy to notice i was there. But all other staff were great, including the cleaning staff. Very attentive. November 5, 2014

Every room we've stayed in was well-appointed, clean, quiet, everything worked, and we were very happy. The staff was all very friendly and helpful as well. We didn't use the pool, exercise room, business center or breakfast, but all looked clean and were used by other guests and they seemed happy. October 27, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ALWAYS PERFECT I HAVE STAYED HERE SEVERAL NIGHTS AND PLAN TO RETURN MANY MORE. THEY ARE CONSISTENTLY AT THE TOP OF THEIR GAME AS A STAFF AND FACILITY. EVERYTHING IS CALM AND RUNS LIKE CLOCKWORK. THE ROOMS ARE PERFECT FOR WORK AT THE DESK AND REST / ENTERTAINMENT WITH THE COMFY BED, GREAT LINENS AND NICE T.V. ASSORTMENT. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by swimming pool condition July 8, 2014, checked in to hotel, kids wanted to swim, went to the swimming pool, first noticed trash on deck of swimming pool and immediate area, kids got in the pool, water was smelly and cloudy, told kids to get out of swimming pool, noted swimming pool parts on bottom along with algae growing along sides of pool under the water surface. Notified the front desk person who offered no assistance. Contacted hotel manager or some staff member on the morning of July 9, 2014 who also offered no guarantee or promise to correct the swimming pool condition which was in very bad condition and unsanitary. The front desk manager never even offered to go check the swimming pool condition even though I asked. While many travelers\customers might accept the swimming pool condition, the condition of this specific hotel amenity was well below normal Holiday Inn Express standards. October 12, 2014
