Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Another great HIE stay! This is one of our halfway points when we drive to and from our home in Florida to see relatives in upstate New York. We usually stopover in SC, NC or VA, depending on how traffic is, and how good of time we're making. Like the HIEs in Blythewood, SC and Roanoke Rapids, NC, this is an excellent values. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, the Wi-FI service always works, the free hot breakfast (for 3) is always great, and the staff at the front desk and throughout the hotel are always friendly. We won't stay anywhere else but at HIE. September 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast variety I have celiac disease and must maintain a gluten free diet. It was a wonderful surprise to see gluten free products on the breakfast buffet! JerrI (at breakfast) was very accommodating and helpful to me in being able to safely enjoy a gluten free breakfast and have items such as a bagel or muffin. She was also very attentive in making sure that the food was well supplied and hot. Thank you for recognizing the need for gluten free alternatives. September 4, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by VT Mom--stands for VERY TIRED Mom After having schleped my son's gear up three flights of very narrow stairs at Virginia Tech to his dorm room, and multiple trips at that, I was VERY happy to have a comfortable, quiet, and clean place to come and relax for a little while. I always stay here when I visit my son at Tech and am never disappointed. August 28, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good location. We checked in about 9pm on a Sunday night and were unable to see into the room, because the light by the door didn't work. Dead bulb. Then when we went to sleep, we had to unplug the fridge, because it was too noisy, which was a drag, because I had water bottles I wanted chilled. I gave the morning manager a note with the two items and walked off. To my surprise he then caught me at breakfast and deducted 10% off my bill, since the room wasn't "up to the standard". I thought that was great, since I do like Holiday Inns and have used them in various places, including Heathrow Airport! August 28, 2014
