Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Expensive but good hotel It's way too high of pricing, but overall a good place to stay. Staff was ok - didn't make the cookies like most HIE do - and when I said something to them they said, "oh, yeah, I didn't feel like making them tonight." I always choose HIE b/c of the little things like that... At one point (we stayed 4 nights) I even handed them an empty fruit bowl. They just didn't care about that stuff at the front desk - it seems like the last time we stayed in May 2014 they even had a happy hour treat. I'm not sure what happened to that??? Maybe different management??? The pool here was good, but no towels in the pool area. The check-in & check-out were smooth too. The main lady at breakfast was the best. Offered to make items fresh for us, got us extras, was there to fill coffee after one drink. She was really nice, an older lady who said she was "from Mexico." LOVED HER!!! August 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay Other than the name of this hotel which should be Cicero HIE to avoid confusion with the other HIE airport hotel 4 miles away, my stay here was excellent. From the front desk staff to the breakfast room staff, this hotel's service and accommodations were much more than I expected. The room was so comfortable and my whole family had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was delicious and the pool was fun. I will stay here again. August 12, 2014

I chose this Holiday Inn express as it was highly recommended by other family members who had stayed during their family members hospitalization. They were given a free upgraded room and were allowed to shorten their stay by one day with no charge for the last day when the patient was discharged sooner than expected. I however did not receive and upgraded room and was charged for the last day when my husband was discharged from the hospital one day sooner than expected. Therefore I am disappointed. I didn't need the upgraded room but having to pay for the extra night was added stress to an already stressful situation. The breakfast was very good and I especially liked the ice cold infused water and would love to have the recipe for that. August 11, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Upstate New York Shopping Trip The hotel is nice and modern. The staff were friendly. The rooms were nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good and I have never seen staff so attentive at a continental breakfast buffet before so kudos for that! A couple of minor things: - Room was not ready at specified check in time. - Smoke alarm blinked all night. Overall, it was still an enjoyable experience and I would recommend this hotel.
