We were able to go to the Red's game Friday night on the shuttle, and then Saturday drive to and walk around Cincy and eat ice cream at Fountain Square. Wonderful experience all around. Thank you! Everyone from check in, to bringing things to your room, to having breakfast was great!,Always very very polite and it was always answered "my pleasure". The girls we had for breakfast were amazing. Couldnt ask for better help.!!!!! Will def be back in the years to come for Labor Day fun/fireworks we have been doing for 20 some years. September 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff The staff did a great job and seemed top notch. On the other hand the hotel seemed old with lot's of paint to cover that fact up. The door to my room didn't seem to shut properly (an easy enough fix) and that seemed like a bit of a security issue... but the kindness of the staff made up for it. If your traveling to Cincinnati to see a game its a great location with plenty of transportation options to and from the ballparks. September 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One small issue Bar/Restaurant Due to 2 wedding receptions on the night of our stay, the bar was packed and only one server. she was overwhelmed; however, she did do an awesome job under the circumstances. It took quite some time to order a drink due to the number of customers. She did make the drinks in record time!!! I would only suggest that, since you must have known of these wedding reception guests, that in the future you would staff accordingly. Kudos to the server - she really did do a great job, especially since a number of guests were a bit impatient. Thank you! September 4, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyable Stay! Every member of the staff was accommodating and pleasant. They were courteous, friendly and always available to help me with questions, etc. as I had never been to the area before. Every staff member always greeted me when they saw me and me feel welcome. If there was one negative to the stay was that the restaurant/bar was closed from 1 pm to 5 pm on a Saturday. Fortunately the front end staff was able to provide me with options that were no more than a 10 minute walk from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again should I ever be visiting the Cincinnati area. September 2, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convienient location I stayed at this hotel twice and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The hotel is walking distance from several good restaurants. Access to and from the Interstate is good. The down side is no easily available electrical outlet in proximity to the bed, old and uncomfortable furniture in the room and a not exciting breakfast buffet. The scrambled eggs were too dry. There are no longer smoking rooms (may have something to do with laws). August 29, 2014

The front desk was busy when i arrived and did a excellent job of getting everyone there rooms in a suitable time. Tamika is always patient and professional on my stays,will stay again next season,we really enjoy the pool and the ladys that run the breakfast service are the best and the price of the buffet breakfast is very reasonable. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Non-smokers charged for smoking in room Pros: The hotel is good quality and clean. Car was safe in the free parking provided. The pool was enjoyable and is secluded from street and parking lot view. Excellent inclusive gym facilities. Friendly staff. Cons: 1) Received a fabricated charge. When my husband and I received our credit card bill, we discovered that we were charged an additional $100. We are very gentle on hotel rooms, so I was curious as to what the charge could possibly be for and why we wouldn't be contacted via email or phone to inform us of the additional charge. I phoned today and discovered that we were charged for smoking in the room. Neither my husband nor I smoke at all. I was told that I have to contact the hotel accountant to discuss the issue with them. The front desk representative could not provide insight about how the matter would be handled. I'm obviously not happy about this. 2) Breakfast While breakfast is conveniently located in the hotel, it was poor and still wouldn't be worth it at half the price. August 23, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Needs updating The overall stay was fine, but the hotel elevators are in need of maintenance. Sometime the elevator doors won't open and other times they close too quickly. The rooms need a simple upgrade to provide more plug-ins for all the new devices that need charging. Many hotels now have plugs on the lamps, but our room did not. August 17, 2014

The AC in our room rattled throughout the night and parking lot lights shown through the curtains. It is very convenient to a variety of featured locations, and it is reasonably priced compared to other nearby properties. The immediate area is pretty sketchy, but we felt safe on the property. There is a convenient city shuttle service for stadium activities and the aquarium. August 12, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Sounds better on paper Pulled in to Covington ready to check in to the Hotel. Across the road is a McDonald's so decided to pull in for a bite. The homeless panhandlers were out in full force. Not the best location, and my wife feared for her life. So beware of the neighborhood. As for the room, the staff were clinical in their approach, not rude but not friendly. Gave me the key and told us where to park and get to the room. The next morning at checkout, was told I had had a phone call, but there was no indication that we had a call, nor did the phone ring. Not sure who's call I missed. Linens were clean, but when you look at the pillowcases, they are marked FIRM or SOFT. Problem was, all were soft. Finally, the hotel is near a freight train track and, by the sound of the engines, a rail yard. Yes, you will hear the trains at night. For those who are confused about the differences between Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express when it comes to breakfast, only the Express has the free breakfast. The buffet was standard, although the eggs and home fries were cold. Took someone about 5 minutes to come in to the dining area to recognize she actually had customers (and there were about 4 families waiting for service). August 5, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by horrible A terrible experience. I had a $250 pair of sunglases disappear out of my room. The assistant GM was supposed to get back to me after they completed their "investigation" I never heard anything. Anytime I went to ask him where the investigation stood he was never in the office. He did call me once to tell me they did a key audit, but I was never contacted again. I gave up and went to Dicks and bought a new pair. Very disappointed. Also, I was in town for 10 days and they never vaccuumed the room. August 3, 2014
