The property is always clean and staff is nice but as I stated the construction is prohibitive to a comfortable stay and had I been notified I would have stayed somewhere else during my visit. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very disappointing stay... Breakfast items are poor quality. Room keys didn't work both days. Housekeeping trying to clean the room at 8:30, then again at 9:00. I left shortly after and room was not cleaned. Entry way being renovated but rooms are outdated. If there were more option in the area I would not stay here. November 4, 2015

The front desk attendants are always polite and courteous and go above and beyond to make each stay something to look forward to. November 4, 2015

The Clanton Holiday Inn Express was PERFECT in EVERY way. Super clean rooms, nice pool, excellent breakfast and most importantly great price! The front desk staff....Dana...was SO NICE. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ugh - worst stay in YEARS This stay was atrocious. From noisy neighbors, to no staff assistance, to a broken AC unit and an unbearably hot room, it was horrible from the get-go. Ok, things happen...I understand. Just comp the room and try again later. "We are happy to offer you a 10% discount for your trouble." SERIOUSLY?! You want me to pay 90% for NO SLEEP due to your lack of ability to provide suitable accommodations?! After spending all day debating with corporate (who offered little better) and sending out social media blasts, they finally gave me 20,000 points - the equivalent of a free night's stay. Ugh...what a horrible experience. And fighting tooth and nail just to get a free night? Not sure it was worth it. I'll take my free night and move on. Back to the better chain I go...not IHG. Lesson learned. October 5, 2015
