I made our reservations for our 50th anniversary trip in August. Got email confirmation in January. Both times for the desired 2 double beds. When we arrived, we got a king bed... no possibility to change (filled). How did this happen? Do we have to lie and say we will have 4 adults so they don't arbitrarily change our reservations?

I enjoyed the stay in this hotel. The last two Holiday Inn stays the air-conditioner and heat unit was so loud we couldn't sleep. This room was wonderful. Air unit quite no outside noise breakfast was good. All in all it was a very nice stay. I will stay again, but will be sure to ask for a room with a quiet air unit

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 The stay at your HI on a smoking floor
I requested a no pet room along with a no smoking room . I did get my no smoking room however it was on the 3rd floor which was the smoking floor for this HI, There was no attempt to change my room
To a non smoking floor,the staff was kind and courtesy and did say the hotel was changing to a 100 percent no smoking hotel next year. I am thankful that this stay was a over night stay.

Our stay at the Clermont Holiday Inn Express cound have been better. When we arrived there was one person working at the front desk and was on the phone with a customer for probably 15 -20 minutes while we stood there. A little annoying but not a big deal, he was friendly and helpful once off the phone. We used my husband's priority points for a free or discounted room at the end of December. We booked a non-smoking room in November online. When we got to our room it smelled of smoke. I called the front desk to see if we could get a different room and he said they were booked. When I asked why we were in a smoking room when we booked a non-smoking room, he replyed "well we were told to give you whatever was left." So much for "priority" service. I wasn't aware being a priority card member meant you were given "whatever rooms are left?" The room itself was clean and comfortable aside from the smoke smell but we won't be staying here again and aren't pleased with the Holiday Inn Express protocols.

We didn't get into our room til 630 that nite after driving all day and getting there at 245 that afternoon. They didn't even consider lowering our price for that nite. Their breakfasts r wonderful.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very nice. Mary Beth check us in very fast she was warm and friendly. The rooms were comfortable, the beds were comfortable too. I think that having refrigerator in the room is great but they also need microwaves as well. Also, the rooms should have an information book in them. The breakfast was very good Angela, really keep the area clean and fill for the guest to get a hot breakfast. The house keeping staff all had on uniforms which made them look very professional and they really keep the rooms clean and that made our stay enjoyable. I as a Travel agent will recommend this hotel, if I have customers that will be staying in that area.

My sister and I stayed at this hotel while in town to attend our mother's funeral last week (10/9-10/11/2012). This however was not my first stay at this particular hotel. Comparing the two stays at this hotel and another stay at another Holiday Inn Express in another city was eye opening. We got the same wonderful service and the staff was very accommodating. Our room was cleaned when we wanted it to be cleaned, we were offered towels everyday and we were left alone the rest of the time.
We never worried that the staff would go through our things while we were gone and we slept comfortably. We didn't have any problems with noise from other rooms. Our stay was perfect and stress free. This is the only hotel I will be staying at as long as there is a Holiday Inn Express in the area. I know what to expect and how to pack because across the board everything is uniform.
I would like to say specifically the lady working the check in that first night was especially nice and helpful. I can't remember her name, not because she didn't make an impact but because of my own state of mind at the time (mother's funeral). She is most assuredly one of the biggest reasons that Holiday Inn Express is my brand of choice. I am grateful to her and Holiday Inn Express for being there for me to make my stay as pleasant as can be expected under the circumstances.
