Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Need to improve breakfast experience Breakfast was until 10am, I went down at 9:30 and most everything was gone. None of the trademark sweet rolls. No waffles. A little gravy and hard biscuits and a little bacon. No offer to replenish anything. Very disappointing. The room was clean and comfortable, had a good nights rest. Staff was pleasant with a little encouragement. Overall good value, just had to find breakfast somewhere else which isn't easy in Cleveland, Tx. September 9, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel This property is very clean and well maintained. The front desk clerk that helped us check in was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. When we told her we would have to leave before they started serving breakfast, she offered to have 2 plates prepared for us early. The location is right on HWY 59 and was a straight shot into the part of Houston we were headed to in the morning. I plan on staying here again on my next trip to the area. May 22, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean room The room was clean and well supplied. The only thing I found lacking was the cleanliness of the dining room. I had to ask the front desk clerk to get some assistance. Every table was dirty, the trash was overflowing and the food was in very short supply. Once I went to the front desk the the young woman came out and cleaned and refilled everything. From what I understand the regular kitchen person was off on Saturday. Sunday was a much better experience except the trash was over flowing. The kitchen person did take care of it right away when brought to her attention. April 8, 2013

Guess they never heard about the Holiday Inn Express. We enjoyed one of the most pleasant stays of our trip. thanks to the great staff and fine facility. You have a winner! March 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay for hog dog hunters!! We came in for a Hog Dog Hunting competition and needed a place to stay. We hunted all day and came in late. We had to leave bright an early before breakfast was to be available. The hospitality of the front desk was amazing. Fresh coffee and a breakfast bag was given to each of us in the wee hours of the morning before we left. GM was very helpful with the laundry service and made it possible for them to have clean dry clothes We can go on and on about how well we were taken care of and the friendliness of the staff. We were very impressed on the comfiness of the beds and the cleaniness of the rooms. We recommend this to everyone needing a place to lay their head after a long day of hunting. :) March 13, 2013

They even put breakfast and coffee out earlier than normal for us because we were leaving early at the end of our stay. Would stay there again. Hot tub was not working but the pool area was very clean. Excellent breakfast choices. February 11, 2013

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to stay in Cleveland, Texas thats for sure. I know I will be staying here again. January 22, 2013

And not being from the area, I was going to drive back to Houston for medical assistance. But your staff member, Ms. Julie L. on the Front desk, informed me of the medical services that were there in the Cleveland area. Not only did she inform of this service, She called and made sure there was someone avalible to assist me then i arrived. She also printed me out driving instructions to the clinic. It's service like this, that makes traveling a pleasure. I want to express my appreciation for her taking the time out of her busy schedule to assist me in my time of need. Continue to hire staff of her caliber, and I'll continue to enjoy your facilities. January 18, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and New We stayed in Cleveland to visit the Sam Houston State park. The staff the night of check-in was not the full-time staff but were very friendly. The most remarkable thing about this hotel is how clean it is. This hotel is also well decorated and clean. There isnt much to do in the area, but if you are interested in outdoors/hiking, then this is the perfect hotel to stay at because of it's proximity to the Sam Houston State Park. I definitely recommend this hotel if you happen to be in the area. December 10, 2012
